Re: 2020 Football Season

Latest Tulane email has announcements including HC from afar. “Virtual Homecoming” I guess at least they planning for a game. tps, I didn't get the email. Can copy/paste into a quote in this thread? FWIW: Ivy League is expected to announce tomorrow that they're moving their season to the spring. Th...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

Our "strength" as a nation is in it's ability to consume. What we consume we do not produce.. What we produce is fear mongering & division.

Re: 2020 football recruiting

Weird. I assume as our offensive line continues to get better and our recruits get better hall/fritz wouldn’t necessarily require a dual threat QB. It’s also amazing to see the SMU we recruits this year at WR. In this class alone they have a Juco stud who is almost a 4 Star with offers from everyon...

Re: 2020 Football Season

FBS college football needs to break away from the NCAA. I believe that non-P5 football scholarships need to be discounted from the overall athletic department count. The non-P5 Football schools will be better able to support themselves and their athletic departments without the burden of supporting...

1979 -- 9-3 1980 -- 7-5 True👍, and even in spite of Hindman Wall's blunder for saying "no" to Lindy Infante for head coach after Larry Smith left in the spring of 1980. If you really want to get sick over the Smith to Gibson hire chew on this: Smith left Tulane to replace Tony Mason at Arizona afte...

Re: LSU VS Tulane Football Renewal of Rivalry

LSU playing Rice in Houston, is not a road game, since Katrina Houston is nothing more than Louisiana west....lsu signed 22...only 6 were from Louisiana....soon lsu will be playin' SMU at Jerry World Lsu playing in New Orleans isn’t a road game either. It would be a home game for LSU in the dome. I...

Re: AAC FB coaches ranked

The "holy trinity" (cover 0 db's. O-lineman & D-lineman), becomes more critical to the success of any program as head coaches & their staff make their way up the food chain. If insufficient talent & coaching at those positions exists it really doesn't matter how responsive or clever the scheme is,

I think Coach Mike Houston at ECU is one of the top 5, and possibly as high as 3rd in terms of attractiveness to a P5 suitor. He's quite the hard ass. We'll see how that works with recruiting talented players with choices. If he can develop marginal talent quickly, he'll do well. He can enrol my do...

The black plague was one of the greatest boons to Western civilization. It quickly ended fuedalism (lucky/Unlucky sperm club dark age) and brought about the Merchant class which ultimately led to the renaissance. Re: Targeting rule revised

Head to head collisions happen on every play at the los. Linebackers blitzing, db's gapping on run support. O-lineman & D-lineman spend the entire game slamming into each other with their heads. The notion that a few conspicuous "targeting" calls is reducing the frequency of involuntary snow angels ...

Re: Does budget cutting begin in athletics if this continues into the early fall?

There's a whole lot of debate about whether or not they could play NCAA football without fans in the stands. Hopefully we will be back to "normal" (whatever that turns out to be) by that time. Maybe they only allow students, keeping social distance, in the stands. Maybe they don't play until studen...
