Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

This is a brilliant vacation as far as I'm concerned. I will gladly comply with the "rigors" of social distancing.
In 1917 you woke up with a fever and before the next morning you were drowned by your own body fluids.
The distribution of information is good.

Re: Spring Football !

If Tulane has spots open...go after grad transfer DL or DB's ... +1 if ever there is a cascading effect in football nowhere is it more visible than the d-line. I'm willing to give Coach Curtis the benefit of the doubt. He was in a bad spot last year in spite of all the preseason build up of the def...

He did pretty well with Lionel's players.

Re: Spring Football !

Looking forward to the ongoing development of our o-line. Coach Kennedy and the strength/conditioning staff are very good at what they do. We need some swag to return on defense as a whole. When you are using 5, 6 & 7 cover quality db's, you're going to give up some big plays. But last year our db's...

Re: Ring a Ding Ding

When I attended Tulane one of my suite mates was an actual Ghanaian Prince. He was educated in British boarding schools and would tell me stories of how many Portuguese relics existed (via the slave trade), throughout his family estates.
So many axes to grind, so little time.

I wonda when the PC crowd is going to do their historical research on the term "Tar Heel"... I am sure buildings will be burned to ground in Chappel Hill Syracuse was founded as a Methodist school. The Orangemen name refers to King William III (Prince of Orange from birth, Stadtholder of Holland, Z...

Re: Football 2020 Full Schedule

that’s not an easy schedule by any stretch . A 1-7 start isn’t inconceivable. Boy would that suck. I can't imagine Houston will have turned it around. Still, it's not an easy slate. I think we can squeeze enough wins to reach a bowl out of southeastern, houston, ecu, army, tulsa, one wild card. Sti...

Re: Newsletter: Could a new AAC Football team be on the way?

Bobby Wilder lost the team at least two years ago. I know this program well, He was an odd bird from the start of the program. Was incapable of attracting defensive coaching talent from the get go and in the last few years his staff was loaded with coaches with no other options. I hope he gets his ...

Re: Newsletter: Could a new AAC Football team be on the way?

I believe it is going to be ODU for the replacement of UConn. Bobby Wilder is gone & Ricky Rahne (PSU), is in. This program will respond quickly with the new staff. If they are accepted into the AAC, they will be contesting for the AAC East in two recruiting cycles. Great demo, fantastic recruiting...

Looking forward to the young twitch coming in up front. If our corner/dime backs improve we may not have to forfeit 30 points in the first half.

Re: Newsletter: Could a new AAC Football team be on the way?

The AAC wanted to experience the wonders of a New England winter for one last time. They no doubt will miss 3:30 sunsets, single digit temperatures with ocean driven winds gusting to 40 mph. The AAC media days will unfortunatley go no further than a faceless climate controlled banquet room in Dalla...
