Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Great article, which articulates exactly why this is the biggest game of the Fritz era. Thanks for posting the link.

"Thing to do would be a weekend series before conference play. Rotate each year." First, as a fan of both schools, I'd love a weekend series, but........ Tulane is going to come up with a $300,000 guarantee to get LSU to come to New Orleans for a weekend & give up 3 games at the Box? Do the math: 1...

Spotlight earned: https://theathletic.com/1222129/2019/09/18/tulane-earned-its-way-to-the-national-stage-vs-houston-now-its-time-to-deliver/ I have to ask, WTF is "The Ocho"? Also, with a 50 % completion rate are we really that good of a passing team as the article suggests? I certainly have seen g...

Re: Houston Score Prediction Thread

I hear ya, Lantern. But if it's the same old Tulane team, we would get blown out and the outcome of the game would be certain by halftime. I don't think this is the same old Tulane team. I think we win tomorrow night.

Crappy Thursday night NFL game. TU on ESPN, this is a game that can truly change this program.
EXACTLY.

THIS IS A MUST WIN ON A NATIONAL PLATFORM, Much more so than any game since coach Fritz got here. Certainly a whole lot more important than the crap bowl game we played against ULa-La.

Re: Houston Game

I don't give a damn about what they wear this week. WIN THE DAMNED GAME. That's all that matters. This is probably the most important game in Fritz's tenure at Tulane. WE NEED TO WIN. Not quite. Fritz has had 4 big games. He's 2-2 in them. The SMU game with Banks and the UH game last year were bigg...

Re: Houston Game

How about landing ESPN Gameday on campus sometime? I know a certain FCS School that's had it twice, which is 2x more than Tulane has had. Their Director of Media Relations was clearly doing some things the right way.

I understand Tanner tied out for a JPRD Men's Flag football team...but as a center
But he failed the tryout because he snapped the ball to the other team, which took it immediately to the end zone.

I'm sure Dana H didn't anticipate going 1-3 to start when he moved to Houston. LETS PASTE THE COUGARS!

I won't bet Tulane games, but if I did, I'd take the 5.5 points. Houston has played a tougher schedule to date than we have.

Re: Tanner Lee

I personally wouldn’t mind someone writing an in depth break down of the differences between Tom Brady (or Drew Brees) and Tanner Lee. Another possible thesis topic would be an analytical break down of Race and Draft order for Qb’s and The implications on Tanner. Short story. Brees and Brady were a...

Re: Houston Game

If we don't win this game, our next 3 or 4 games, regardless of the outcome will not be noticed by most college football fans. Seriously, at 2-2, we're an afterthought. At 3-1, we're contenders. It's that big of a game. Even if we lose in OT, we're a middle of the pack G5 team. An afterthought. It i...

When Curtis Johnson was speaking to a number of fans here in Slidell, he said that Sean Payton had told him about Tanner Lee. I can’t swear that’s what actually happened, but it is a fact that’s what Curtis Johnson told us. The story I was told, when Tanner was a Junior in HS, was that Payton saw h...

This is absolutely a big game for the program. They were picked above us in our Division. If things have really changed and we are going to have a special season it starts here. No sense in trying to downplay it. It's big. The beating we put on FIU, and toughness we showed against Auburn shows that...

Dave, that was the other guy. If you were living here, you'd know the difference in the two. Also, they weren't really supposed to be homers.
