Re: Tanner Lee

He is playing pro football. Jeez. Why is he attacked on this board. So weird. EXACTLY!!! He's making more money playing football than any poster on this board has ever done. Even if he's only on the practice squad, which he's eligible for one more season. Good for Tanner. But he's not making $495k ...

Re: Tanner Lee

Tanner has been active for 1 NFL game, and hasn't taken a snap. Whatever money he's made is GREAT for him! But his stats speak for themselves at every level. I think he has a great arm, but I also think his head shows what kind of QB he really is, and it's not pretty. If he ever takes a meaningful N...

Re: Top / Greatest Moments in Tulane Athletics History

From my standpoint, the 48-7 win in the Superdome followed by the 31-28 win in Baton Rouge. That's my Thanksgiving Freshman and Sophomore years! But we cannot forget the Wave rolling into Red Stick and blowing away Dale Brown's Tigers in the first round of the NIT in 1982. My best friend and roommat...

Re: Wave lands a commitment from Justin Ibieta QB!!!!

Like I said, he has more talent in his pinky finger than I ever dreamed about having! Just surprised they let him play varsity in 8th grade.

Re: Wave lands a commitment from Justin Ibieta QB!!!!

I played JV when I was an 8th grader, and constantly scrimmaged against the varsity. By the 3rd game, they brought me up and had a few plays where I ran a flea-flicker or a toss to the starting QB who had lined up as a WR. It was a prep school in Danbury, CT (Wooster) and the second or third game I ...

Re: AAC Media Day Show with Tulane football discussed

I think this team can compete for a conference championship this year. Maybe it's just my summer optimism, but I think we have the talent on both sides of the ball to compete and possibly win the conference title. It won't be easy, there's great coaches and a lot of talent in both divisions. But if ...

Re: Tanner Lee

Tanner Lee signed a 4 year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on May 11, 2018 after being selected in the 6th round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The contract is worth $2,601,544. He’s 24 years old and In two years he’s already collected $975,000 of that $2.6 million. He’s an NFL QB something many of ...

Tanner has an NFL arm. And a pick6 head. The push to 100 pages continues!

Re: Tanner Lee

My guess is you’re wrong. That’s the cap-space website that NFL people use. It has a premium subscription. You my friend are incorrect. You could be right, after all, my research is internet based as well. But the NFL offices keep track of salary cap 365 days/year. Contracts are not valid until app...

Re: Tanner Lee

Tanner, like any practice squad player, was cut by the Jaguars. Then re-signed to the practice squad. Practice squad players make $7600/week. The other figures are NFL league minimums for active players. Look under the History tab. You are incorrect. Tanner Lee Quarterback Current ContractHistorySt...

Re: Tanner Lee

I still don't think he takes a snap in a regular season NFL game. If he does, watch for the pick 6's. Probably not a bad thing if he never does take a regular season snap. Ryan Griffin has made out pretty well that way. And God bless both of them for making a living playing a game they love!

Re: 2019 FB Schedule

Maybe there were 4 bowl games people cared about, but by the early 1970's there were 11 bowl games. Over the next 20 years that expanded to 30+ bowl games. Sorry, but you have to go back to the 1950's to find only 4-6 bowl games. 01-02 Gator Bowl Auburn 35 Mississippi 28 Jacksonville, FL 1971-01-01 C...

Re: Jason Sparks

Sad to report this but I just got word that Jason has passed due to an accidental death. What a Tulane legend. Jason hit 49 home runs in 2 years, played a great RF, ran the bases well, was a great student and had maybe one of the biggest hits in Tulane history ‘98 at Zephyr. He should have been in ...

Re: AAC Media Day Show with Tulane football discussed

If you watch the 52-54 minute segment, when the ESPN guy is speaking in the background coach Fritz is talking with some other coaches. Oh to be a fly on the wall of that conversation! No surprise, UCF is the media pick to win the conference. They have us third in the West, but we're getting a lot of...

Re: UCONN board approves move back to Big East

The knock against UCF both years was essentially they didn’t play any reasonable p5 teams and bad weather cancelled the teams they had scheduled. They had a great win against auburn but that was to end the season. Powers to be can just say it’s a new year blah blah blah. Most people agree that Hous...

16 teams play in the NY6 and CFP. 16. Why does an independent, regardless of who they are, have to take a P5 team out if they go undefeated?

Re: UCONN board approves move back to Big East

This. Army is not eligible for the guaranteed G5 champion CFP Selection/NY6 slot, and, as a result, they would have to get in to the exclusion of a P5. Given 1. that some of the CFP Selection/NY6 slots are guaranteed to go to certain P5 conferences, 2. Army's schedule (2 FCS, a bunch of average or ...
