Re: Performance Center

They were concerned about traffic, overflow crowds and the potential of folks walking through and parking in their neighborhoods and potential noise. I bet you're right that many have had their fears allayed. But there are still going to be some who complain because they have nothing better to do. ...

+1 Yes. That shipped sailed when we failed to buy all the houses around campus that were being given away after Katrina. Xavier University made a huge land grab after Katrina to expand their footprint while Scott Cowen beat his chest how he alone saved Tulane University from bankruptcy. Funny how n...

Or even better, a full disclosure of what the grand plan is, why we need it, and what our ultimate conference goal is--that might trigger an avalanche of donations. People will be far more willing to donate for specific projects and goals than just some rumor driven vague hope that something good m...

Re: The Students are revoltin'

Obviously, you have done the math on this. How much do you think it should cost? $2-4 million for 120 yards $25 a Sq ft https://sportsvenuecalculator.com/knowledge/sports-domes/sports-dome-cost/ You should have sent in your bid. They may have accepted it. No. Just wondering why it’s costing that mu...

Re: The Students are revoltin'

Athletic Director David Harris was just on the radio with Kaare Johnson and said the indoor bubble would be only 70 yards long. Said it would cost approximately $7 million and should be ready in the Fall. 70 yards is a disappointment. Wow $1 million every 10 yards? Something isn’t adding up. Obviou...

Re: Tulane Takes the USF Series

I don't remember you posting about high hopes this year that would lead to the "disappointing season" comment. Can we win the conference regular season? Not likely because we were swept by the leading UTSA team. Having already beaten ECU, UTSA would be favored to win that. Does that mean ...

Basically we are now playing to make it to the AAC tournament. If we qualify we’ll have to win the AAC tournament to get a bid. Reminds me of basketball now. Regular season is basically pointless other than trying to avoid finishing in the bottom two. Disappointing season so far. I don't remember y...

Mensah took snaps with the 1s at Saturdays scrimmage. The fact is neither Kai or Ty has stepped up and taken the job. It’s given way to an opening for Mensah. He may not win the job but as of today he has a real shot Yes that’s correct. His leadership has been compared to that of Michael Pratt by o...

I hate to see this as Kelly was a former baseball player. Tulane finally led in something (NIL) and it was due to alums and not the school itself. So instead of staying out front we get out flanked by Willie Fritz once again. This is why no one wanted the baseball job. Tulane being Tulane. Sounds fa...

Too bad because he could have used this weak pitching to break out and get some confidence.
Off the bench: 2-for-2 (HR, 2B) with 3 RBI’s
Ok thanks. I turned it off at 12-1 I think.

The nonsense that we need to hire coaches with no ties to Tulane is ridiculous. You hire the best candidate that you can get plain and simple. Dannen went outside of Rick Jones and hired Jewett and Ulhman so how has that worked out? Give this Tulane alum a chance and your support. Let her run her ow...

Not so many others have a short field bubble. Not many face the space limitations that we do. “Tearing down Turchin” is not an idea either. I thought so for years but less than 300 people go to the baseball games nowadays. I’d hate to see it get moved off campus just to put up a FB practice facilit...

Welch pitched on six days rest. A 20/20 hindsight mistake. I feel like we should bench the entire outfield for a game. But I know that won’t or even should happen. But maybe give one of them a day off? I am really tired of seeing Banks come up in critical situations and knowing it will be a useless...
