Re: LSU Game- Regional

LSU with the first two men on base in each of the first five innings. On top of that, the two times we actually had a man on and hit the ball hard, they turned them into two lucky double plays. I think we used up all our luck last weekend.

Re: LSU Game- Regional

Would it be wrong to just walk Dylan Crews any time he comes to bat with a runner on base?

Re: LSU Game- Regional

I thought the SEC was such a great conference? You would think the whole conference had quality pitchers, right? So how has LSU as a team been HBP 121 times? One guy has been hit 26 times.

Makes you wonder if they're taught to lean into pitches.

Right. They also have $100 million in other features. I’m sure the net extension was something Tulane put up to shield them from liability nothing more.

You mean the SAME EXACT REASON 30 MLB teams put net extensions up?

We better be well conditioned. 2:30pm in early September? Now, if we can just decide to renovate the visitor locker rooms that week and make the Ole Miss players use a small meeting room for a locker room.

Re: New Home for Tennis?

After the school builds their own facility on campus, they should turn around and rent it out to the public for $12/hr. Brand new courts at a cheaper price? They'll drain Audubon Park of that revenue and they'll have to shut down the facility completely. After they shut it down, you turn around and ...

Wichita State fires Baseball Coach Loren Hibbs

This one seems really strange. He was an interim coach, and was actually selected as AAC Coach of the Year. And they still fired him.

If I remember correctly, though, he went to MSU as a grad transfer, so he's technically ALSO a Tulane alum?

Seems like its an SEC thing about hoarding tickets. Looks like all tickets for Southern Miss have to go through Auburn.

Re: Baton Rouge NCAA Baseball Regional

If Tulane somehow remains hot and moves on to a Super we will undoubtedly become the underdog darling of the Baseball world. We have a reasonable chance to do well. The team, although having many a less than memorable moment, is not actually as bad as their record. As long as pitching is not stretc...

Someone needs to get local media on Dannen's case. But none of them will do it. They don't want to be kicked out of the pressbox next season.

Re: Baton Rouge NCAA Baseball Regional

The players, coaches, staff and parents have 200 tickets so if your tight there you can score a ticket or two. Something isn’t right though. Fans that have been paying a seat license for the right to buy post season tickets have been fleeced. The NCAA requires the host school to provide a larger am...

Re: Baton Rouge NCAA Baseball Regional

I’m glad ECU got in. I think they can take Oklahoma. I’m also glad to see that ESPN had a camera at Glazier. They were safely in. They were playing for a host spot. ULL has to be happy. I thought we may have knocked them out. They were in the “last 4 in” group. Sucks that UC-Irvine got knocked out....

So if we were to knock them off on day 1, would they be forced to use Skenes and Crews to get to the finals? And if we won our first two games, LSU wouldn't have either of them to pitch against us, correct?

Re: Tulane Beats ECU 8-6 and Wins AAC Championship

The D1 projections have Maryland and Sam Houston going to BR along with us. Neither seems like world beaters. You really think LSU would risk not pitching their best arm against us and risk losing to Tulane in a regional? Yep. They have never pitched their ace vs a #4 seed. They will throw RHP That...

Re: Tulane Beats ECU 8-6 and Wins AAC Championship

Looks like we'll be the worst RPI in the tournament but not by much. We're at #158 now, up 31 from last week. But Florida A&M also won their tourney, and they're #156. What's odd is that we were ahead of them in RPI before the tournaments, and you would think our opponents were tougher than thei...
