Interesting especially with all the so called “Insiders” saying he was definitely not going to Kansas.ajcalhoun wrote:Not that we ever really had a shot with him but interesting that he stuck with Kansas of all places.http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/ ... dd48a.html
I think the beauty of the "sun flowers" in bloom...were too much for Tulane to overcomeajcalhoun wrote:Not that we ever really had a shot with him but interesting that he stuck with Kansas of all places.http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/ ... dd48a.html
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

I have no idea what could have attracted this young man to college football oblivion. One more example of the mysteries of the mind of an 18 year old.
Tulane is the University of Louisiana

The ex Warren Easton coach Tony Hull recruited Pooka. He was back here during the playoffs looking at the Destrehan running back John Emery who will be a senior next year
In spite of all of the hoopla, Pooka is only rated 3 stars by both 247 & Rivals.greenphantom wrote:Interesting especially with all the so called “Insiders” saying he was definitely not going to Kansas.ajcalhoun wrote:Not that we ever really had a shot with him but interesting that he stuck with Kansas of all places.http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/ ... dd48a.html
Same as Lindsey Scott but we're still talking about him a lot.Wave755 wrote:In spite of all of the hoopla, Pooka is only rated 3 stars by both 247 & Rivals.
But seriously, the way Pooka Williams ran through the playoffs in the state's highest classification was dominating until he got hurt in the title game. If he can stay eligible he should do very well.
God Bless Everyone!

I know its your job, but doesn't it have to feel conflicting in your heart when you're from the NOLA area and you're telling a kid from the NOLA area how great things are in Kansas?HoustonWave wrote:I have no idea what could have attracted this young man to college football oblivion. Exactly. Relationships early on.chain gang x man wrote:The ex Warren Easton coach Tony Hull recruited Pooka. He was back here during the playoffs looking at the Destrehan running back John Emery who will be a senior next year
Be proactive, being reactive is for losers..
Tulane Class of 1981
Tulane Class of 1981
Texas and Texas A & M decided not to offer him, probably reputed academic issues and 5'9" height were factors. Another factor may be Herman's class is so "stella" at UT, but Jimbo has still only signed 14 @ A & M?ajcalhoun wrote:Same as Lindsey Scott but we're still talking about him a lot.Wave755 wrote:In spite of all of the hoopla, Pooka is only rated 3 stars by both 247 & Rivals.

The only actual signing offer he had was Kansas. LSU was recruiting him but didn’t offer him to sign early. He supposedly has his ACT score but needs some core grades this spring. I’m sure he’ll eek by, can’t let the legend fail.
Strange coincidence—-Baylor signed a Kid with almost identical numbers, same size, named Williams and also has a different type nickname “Sqwirl”. Herman and UT went at him hard the last month and even showed up at his house Wednesday after being told no thanks that day. He signed with BU Thursday.

Nope, in this the MeToo era & NFL scandals for domestic abuse, I doubt if even Florida State will go after him.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 4:50 pm Should we go after Pooka?

President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .
If he qualifies academically - yes, Yes & YES.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 4:50 pm Should we go after Pooka?

He can pursue a hyphenated liberal arts degree.
Let's see here; sketchy academically-wise AND a domestic battery charge.wave97 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 9:56 pmIf he qualifies academically - yes, Yes & YES.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 4:50 pm Should we go after Pooka?

Offering him would definitely prove Tulane's commitment to big-time, winning football.

Tulane in the past allowed a convicted murderer to remain in school but these days domestic abuse is worse than killing someone. So I doubt we’ll see that.ajcalhoun wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 11:09 pmLet's see here; sketchy academically-wise AND a domestic battery charge.wave97 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 9:56 pmIf he qualifies academically - yes, Yes & YES.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 4:50 pm Should we go after Pooka?

I remember seeing about 20+ years ago on a national TV show like Carson/Leno ,a gentleman whom had served his time for bludgeoning to death a college PROF whom he felt was always giving him unfair grades on purpose to prevent him from acquiring his PhD. Anyone vaguely remember this? The man had longhair and beard and looked like Grizzly Adams to boot.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 8:12 amTulane in the past allowed a convicted murderer to remain in school but these days domestic abuse is worse than killing someone. I believe he was stabbed to death inside his office by the student.swampnik wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 10:01 amI remember seeing about 20+ years ago on a national TV show like Carson/Leno ,a gentleman whom had served his time for bludgeoning to death a college PROF whom he felt was always giving him unfair grades on purpose to prevent him from acquiring his PhD.
