that if Temple and Memphis both defeat Houston we can advance to the AAC Championship Game by beating Houston, provided we take care of business against East Carolina and Navy ?

Pete, we don't need all that. All we need is for SMU to finish off Houston tonight, and SMU lose one of their last 3 games. They play @UConn and Tulsa and home against MEM. Just let Memphis beat them and we win our last 3.

38-31 now. Lighting delay with around 3 mins left. SMU ball in Houston territory when play resumes.

Interesting tidbit from this weeks AAC games. Lowest winning score (pending SMU-HTN final) is 41 points, and 7 of the 12 teams in the conf scored at least 40.

This Cougar team is very beatable for the Wave. After all , we beat them last year and we are now looking like a much improved team from last season.

SMU has UConn, Tulsa and Memphis as their three remaining games. This week, we should both win. They play @UConn, we have ECU. The key weekend is Nov 16-17. They play MEM on Friday night. If they lose, we go into Sat against Houston knowing the winner controls the West.

That would be interesting. On one hand, it would be great for Tulane to make it. On the other hand, a 7-5 team in the conference title game isn't that great for conference optics.

I would say it is definitely in the realm of possibility for us to win out and smu to lose.

This is repetitive; needs to be merged with Dare We Think thread where this originated....

Houston is beatable. Hurts that we lose Patrick Johnson for the first half of the Houston game. after the targeting call yesterday.Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Mon Nov 05, 2018 4:44 pm I would say it is definitely in the realm of possibility for us to win out and smu to lose.

Willie has to learn GAME MANAGEMENT. Very bad GAME MANAGEMENT to be snapping in plays with under three minutes left in game with ten or 15 seconds left on game clock while trying to protect a six point lead. BAD COACHING....

No, that's on McMillan. At one point they even showed Fritz signalling to Justin to be aware of the clock. QB should know that.nawlinspete wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 10:08 am Willie has to learn GAME MANAGEMENT. I know beating Houston will be tough, but its not like we're playing Ohio State or Alabama. We've got a 34% chance of winning. We'll need a few breaks to go our way, but that's doable.
