Just think about the current NBA players that went to small schools that never really had an NBA star before. Have any of those schools really benefited from having one good player in the NBA?
Thinking Davidson, which had a certain future NBA MVP taken (a whole lot higher than Melvin will be picked) at #7 in the 2009 draft. Has Davidson had a big jump in competitiveness since Stephen Curry was picked so high and went on to big things in the NBA?Profoundwizard wrote: ↑Wed Jun 06, 2018 6:02 pmJust think about the current NBA players that went to small schools that never really had an NBA star before. Great highlight film, well done! Mel plays bigger than his 6'6" when he's close to the rim, and has no issues taking it up among bigs.tpstulane wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 6:35 am“Rubber band man” highlights

Welcome to gotula.net, where it's never too late to mention Tanner Lee, Andy Cannizaro, Lindsey Scott Jr., Rich Rodriguez, David Pierce, or, of course, Scott Cowen. You see, no horse here is so dead that it cannot be beaten just a little bit more.

1.5 inches for a sole is nothing. My Nike running shoes are right over an inch easy.

Could be one of the better fits for him, because they're one of the few teams that wouldn't need to get immediate offense from him. His defense is what they would be wanting most.tpstulane wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:41 amGolden State 28th pick if he’s still available.

All of this speculation ends Thursday. Very few, if any, clubs are willing to leak who they are going to pick, yet "experts" and all sort of sports reporters are convinced they know who's going to be picked # 3, 5, 13, 28 or 35th. I love how few picks these guys get right every year.
And the "experts" know nothing more than most fans. I know the NFL is different, but I'll always remember Mel Kyper's reaction to the Colts using the 2nd pick in the 1994 draft on Marshall Faulk: "This is why the Colts are in the lottery year after year. It's a bad pick this high in the draft." As we all know Marshall was a 1st ballot Hall of Fame RB. Kyper still gets paid to make dumb ass comments and predictions.

Yes. That would great fit for sure. And to land with GS in the 1st round would be a dream many would love to have happen. Can’t wait for Thursday should be exciting.RobertM320 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 11:54 amCould be one of the better fits for him, because they're one of the few teams that wouldn't need to get immediate offense from him. why is this not merged with the other "Melvin' topic ?
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
I know of a few places with "poles'.....I don't go there, but I know they are in business...the "merged" topics could be renamed.. "Melvin and his Pole'...
