Although we’ve recently fallen on hard times we still rank amongst the baseball elite thanks to our great history.
Thanks Curtis!

We can sugar coat it all we want, but the program is in really bad shape right now.

More or less. Tulane really needs its fundraising to go well.mbawavefan12 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 10:07 am We can sugar coat it all we want, but the program is in really bad shape right now.
This is just Curtis Akey doing his job of putting a positive spin on things. He’s good at it. We just lost wo pitchers to the pros. The coaches are scrambling to get some good arms in so they want a positive vibe out there.

This is a serious thread drift, and I should probably post it in a Cowen related thread.Aberzombie1892 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 10:08 amMore or less. MIT had their graduation on 6/8/2018. In the program for their graduation, it gave a bio of their President, Rafael Reif. Dr. Reif has been associated with the University since 1980. In May of 2016 Dr. Reif introduced the "Campaign for a Better World", which was a $5 billion fundraising project. In two years, he's raised over $4.1 billion. That's more than Tulane's endowment. And it was raised largely without corporate sponsorship; 91,000 individuals have donated. How much did Scott Cowen raise in 15 years?
The point I'm making is that Tulane has lacked the wherewithal to get our endowment in order. Now this is coming from someone that cannot make a donation that would move the needle, but I'm pointing out how weak our efforts have been. And we lagged our peers BY A WIDE MARGIN during Cowen's tenure as President. Yes, I'm bashing Cowen again, but this just shows how inept he was.

Cowen was a self-centered phony who did more damage than good.
