Willie Fritz was live in studio tonight with Ed Daniels talking spring practice. He doesn’t know who our backup QB will be yet. He’s waiting to see how spring ball goes to decide.

Hopefully we never have to worry about that. Here's to Banks' health.

The way Banks plays, there is no way he takes every snap next year. He is going to get hurt at some point.

And the style of offense exposes the QB to hits on a very large percentage of plays. The best way to stop the option is to repeatedly pound the pitch man even if he's just delivered the pitch. This is true for the read-option spread that we run as well as the more traditional option that the service academies run. And when the QB keeps the ball and crosses the line of scrimmage, he's a RB, taking hits without QB protection.

Anyone have a link to the TV segment with Wille and Ed?

I just send Ed a note on posting a link.
I’ll try and find one if available. I had recorded it but deleted it shortly after watching.
