In my opinion the UAB game is very important...don't get me wrong, they are all important, but Tulane needs to go on the road and not just win, but WIN...leaving no doubts who is better

And that will be no easy W, for sure. UAB had a pretty competitive team last year, their first on the gridiron after a 2 year hiatus. No, they weren't "out of our league" good, but they went bowling and finished 6-2 in CUSA.golfnut69 wrote:http://tulanegreenwave.com/news/2018/2/ ... unced.aspx

Agree. Though I would note 2 are at home and one on road.tpstulane wrote:Damn 3 non Saturday games. That’s no good.

I thought the "Wake" game would be on Thursday or Friday of Labor day Week End...not liking Memphis is on a Friday nite, but it is what it istpstulane wrote:Damn 3 non Saturday games. That’s no good.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

The opening four games should set the bar for the rest of the season. On one hand, it's great to get all of the OOC games first so that Tulane can get the kinks out, but on the other hand, not winning the majority of the OOC games would be an issue.
I usually make a road game or two. So that makes traveling to UH more unlikely.winwave wrote:Agree. Though I would note 2 are at home and one on road.tpstulane wrote:Damn 3 non Saturday games. That’s no good.

not sure what the 'hullabaloo" is all about...how many people who attend Tulane games have been to the "Bayou Classic" ?winwave wrote:Head to head with the Bayou Classic:

Not many but many more attend the Classic than Tulane games. Then there's the fact that all the coverage that week will be about the Classic unless we are winning in a big way.

Thank you very much for mentioning that. Two of those 'non-Sat' games are at home.tpstulane wrote: Damn 3 non Saturday games. That’s no good.

It is very difficult for me to attend any FB game that does not occur on Saturday. I have too far to drive in.
The TV people just dictate policy too much when it comes to scheduling games. I wish that could go away.

That's the same complaint people have with the NFL games on Thursday and Monday nights. People with season tickets that live in Shreveport or Monroe or the Gulf Coast find it very difficult to attend those games, and unlike teams in the Midwest or Northeast, there's not enough density to fill the stadium just from the metro area. And I know for a long time, every time the Saints were on Monday Night Football, the game would always be at home, because the networks crews loved setting up in the Dome because the logistics were easy.IM42lane wrote:Thank you very much for mentioning that. Anyway, I agree that we don’t stand a chance to compete with their attendance numbers. Last year, I think they had 67K in the dome. It’s a damn rivalry. What a wasted article.
We better go there undefeated. No excuse not to.
