Its going to be a score fest BECAUSE SMU can't stop us. You can't control the clock when they let you score on one or two plays every time.

Wrong. If you try to slugger with a slugger and you don't have the same amount of power, you will get knocked out! We have to find a way to regain the lead, and then control the clock. We can't and won't win a shootout. We don't have the depth chart our weapons to do it. You are begging for a 70-28 blowout against this SMU offensive machine. Take a page out of smash mouth coaching books from Bear Bryant, Eddie Robinson, Pop Warner or even Nick Saban if you think fighting fire with fire works.
Absolutely wrong. This isn't a slug fest. It;' a score fest. Our all run offense leads to a lot of misery. Teams have it figured out for the most part. Just score any way we can. We aren't good enough to control the clock.
Absolutely wrong! Players and coaches know better than that. We aren't good enough to get into a "score fest" with a team that is known for scoring like crazy. And we are good enough to control the clock. We have proven this already. We can't trade blow for blow with this team. Your systems will set us up for a 35-60 loss. SMU's defense isn't good enough to stop us from controlling the clock. We can run and pass on these guys.
Couldn't be more wrong. Welcome to 2017. Look at the scoreboard. We can't go all run and control the clock. Recipe for disaster.

Who said "all run" on this thread? Nobody. You can control the ball on the ground and through the air since you don't know this. You aren't paying attention to the time we ate up on the drive to make it 21 and 28 to take the lead if you don't think it is being done.

Missing the point. If we go all run like you want we lose as it will be 3 and out.Just score baby.

Never said all run. Run first, pass second is the type of football that we need to play to win.

Unbelievably stupid not to take that holding penalty in 4 down territory. Sorry, but this is not a well coached team.

At this stage we need to pass first to get them to back off and then run.

Can't believe the defense gave up on that play because they saw a flag. Terrible.

It was the right call. The problem is we have lineman that jump EVERY SINGLE HARD COUNT.

Has anyone noticed that every time we've jumped offsides and the play runs, the SMU O-line doesn't move at all? I wonder if SMU has that as a designed play in those situations. C sees a player jump, he just snaps it. The OL doesn't realize its been snapped, but they've been trained to just stand there, and the receivers are told to run flys. Defense sees the O line just standing and they hesitate, and they receiver ends up wide open.

Take the 10 yards and they are out of FG range. Then try and stop them on 3 and 15. Our defense is not setup to stop SMU on a 5 yard play.

Being a run first minded team doesn't mean you can't change it up every now and then. SMU's defense sucks, so we can pass and run on them. However, we have to eat up the clock and keep their offense off the field. Our defense isn't deep or solid enough to stay on the field. SMU will score on us.

We still least agree that we can pass and run and mix it up.

38 points on the road is great from the offense. Defense needs 1-2 stops to win. They won't stop them on every drive, but a couple are needed here.

To be fair, the replay showed he stumbled when he broke to the sideline at the end of the play. Otherwise he catches it.

Hicks hurt his off-arm. BIG third down here, the defense needs to get off the field.

Unfortunately I jinxed him. After Mooney dropped a catchable ball, I thought in my head “Encalade would have caught that. Need to go to him on the 3rd down”
