Tough matchup for the Wave. Houston has bye week advantage.

I think Tulane will make it interesting for a while. But Houston will eventually grind us down. Their QB is pretty good. I like him more than flowers.

Houston is not an unbeatable team. They have been better with King at QB but the flip side is we have film on him now. Coming off a win, Senior Day, Bowl eligibility hanging in the balance. Throw in that it's hard for them to get up for us. Last but not least is the teams new good luck charm: Baby Isla.

Hopefully little isla is the xfactor. God knows none of those other factors have ever led this program to do anything spectacular when the opportunity is presented. I did predict a win against someone we're not supposed to beat. That hasn't happened and there's 2 more chances

I hope to hell that this team comes out fired up to give the Seniors a W on Senior day. And I do think Houston is beatable. Play a relatively clean game and we'll win. But we're just not a very good team, and make too many boneheaded plays.

I don't think I'll be able to watch this one, which may be a good thing.

Houston 31
Tulane 23

Hope I'm wrong and our bowl hopes live on another week.

ROLL WAVE!

Hey it's better than catching him in his first game. More importantly no one's betting anything on these picks so what the hell. The season's been depressing enough. Might as well go out on a limb.BTW, where's your pick?

I wasn't dogging your pick just found humor in the grasping at straws positive point. I may be mistaken but I don't think our "facilities" include a film room...or at least we play like we don't have one.

I don't normally predict scores but you called me out on this one. I'm sticking with the UH for some reason (maybe because they're better than us) crushes us at home again.

I thought it was clear that some humor was intended. As I noted it's been so depressing you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Tulane wins 31 to 28. Banks trusts his reads against UH and tests the edge in the running game. We finally connect on at least one of our deep play-action pass plays. The win results in only the second 5-win or > football season in 14 years for the Wave. Roll Wave!

I refuse to make another I-know-I'm-wrong-but-I've-got-to-pick-the-Wave-anyway prediction. I'm just hoping for a win, be it pretty or ugly, well-deserved or lucky.

We haven't had a lot of lucky ball bounces this year, so perhaps we're due. The seniors and the suffering hard-core-holdouts deserve a W. #RollWave

You've lived away from New Orleans for too long if you believe the humidity is that much worse in Houston.

A number of posters on this site attribute the easy pummeling of Tulsa to the hurricane scare. Perhaps we expose Houston to some 'fake news' reports of a tropical storm or tsunami tomorrow afternoon.

FYI... I was born and reared in Metry...lived in Clear Lake (that is where Mission Control is located, NOT Houston) and THE Woodlands, TX... I know all about humidity...

It doesn't seem like Tulane's offense has gotten on track all year. When the game is close Tulane's offense depends on Banks or Hilliard finding daylight, otherwise they're going nowhere. The talent gap will be noticeable in this game.

Tulane 26, Houston 24. We miss an XP, but kick two FGs, including a game winner to stay bowl eligible.
