Memphis has beaten us 10 straight. Our last win was in November 2000.

Memphis 31

We are 12th in country in Rushing Offense and Memphis is 108th in Rushing Defense. We should control the CLOCK and keep Memphis' offense on the sidelines as long as we eliminate penalties and do not cough up the ball.

The bad weather, hopefully, will affect Memphis' pass game and will consequently eat more clock, too.

Two turnovers help seal the win !

Running game keeps Tigers offense on sidelines, Lewis and Nickerson get picks and Tulane gets a W.....

According to the Memphis forum, temps may dip into the high 30s. Combine that with 100% chance of rain and their speed and passing game have to be diminished. I think our chances improve a lot.

If Memphis scores more than 30 points, then they win going away (35-20, 31-17, 38-21, whatever).

If Tulane can limit the Memphis final score to around 20 or so, then Tulane pulls an upset . Tulane must control the Memphis passing attack.

This MUST be a LOW-scoring game (21-20, 24-21, 17-14) for Tulane to have a chance. Tulane MUST also win the TIME of POSSESSION statistic, as well as the TURNOVER tally.

Just don't see this being the team we'll get back on track against. Just hope we play closer than my prediction.

Since I thought we would lose big last week and had a chance to win, I'm gonna say Memphis 35-14.

I think we keep it close into the 3rd quarter. But Memphis, much like Tulane in 1997 and 1998, plays at a breakneck pace and will wear down our D.

Isn't that the truth. I've gotten tired just from sitting watching some of their games!

Nice prediction of the score.
But I got it wrong on how we got there: our D wore out their offense.

So we beat Cincy and ECU the next two weeks, we're 5-5, and still have a shot at bowl eligibility which is EXACTLY where we all wanted to be at seasons end.
