So this is really the pivotal one for bowl eligibility. If we can get this, we should be able to handle, FIU, Cinn and ECU. Otherwise, we'd need to pull an upset somewhere along the line to get to 6-6.

The only unwinnable game, IMHO, is the USF game. Every other team on this schedule is beatable, though we have to play close to a perfect game to win against SMU and Houston. We need to score more than 21 points to win most conference games.

Hopefully, that's the case, as it's still hard to tell how good this team is since 2 close games against Army and Navy are great, but, over the last couple of years, Tulane has consistently played Army and Navy fairly close.

SMU's only lost to a top 10 team and they have defeated the rest of their opponents, 2 of which are FBS teams with winning records, by 21+ points. That plus their 36 point assault on TCU's D will get them some recognition.

Their offense is pretty darned good and ours moves the ball but struggles to score points (unless we get inside the 20.) We'll probably need 30+ points to beat SMU.
