Nah!
We have modernized our facilities across the board and our stadium has a capacity of 27,962. With SRO, 30K.

You are clueless.
Meanwhile we have a New Baseball stadium, New Football stadium, renovated Basketball arena, and a new basketball/volleyball training facility(non-game day).
In the works, Athletic Village for Olympic sports.
All together over $120 million. These investments gave us the ability to say "hey we can hang with you". It is what Aresco used to get us into the American and out of CUSA.
Keep bitch/moaning JJ. I find it amusing.
You are just clueless.
So we spent all that money on facilities that guarantee we're not interested in a P5 slot? We spent less on all those facilities combined than most peers vying for a P5 slot spent on their stadium alone? Where's our IPF (I know, in Metarie, owned by Tom Benson and his Saints.)
This is a thread drift, for sure. But Green Wave constantly defending the Athletics Dept. and Rick Dickson, yet claiming repeatedly he's NOT a Tulane employee, is ludicrous. He showed us a print out of a memo last week that only someone within the Athletics Department hierarchy would have access to. If he's not Rick Dickson, his livelihood somehow depends on RD.
And by the way: NOBODY cares about the Athletic Village for Olympic sports. We'd much rather have the money go towards putting us on even ground with the rest of the Universities trying to get into a P5. Spend on coaches THAT CAN WIN. Put teams into position TO WIN. Build facilities that attract athletes that can HELP US WIN. Right now we're doing nothing more than throwing teams onto the field, praying they won't look too bad. They're set up to fail, when all we want is teams SET UP TO WIN.
THE BITCHING AND MOANING WILL STOP WHEN WE GET AN AD THAT, LIKE RD's PREDECESSORS, PUTS US IN A POSITION TO WIN IN THE THREE SPORTS THAT MATTER MOST: FOOTBALL AND MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL.
