In the Advocate it said that Jewitt never released the list from this years signing period but Jewitt said it is heavy on JC transfers. Anyone have and incite on who some of them are.

Thanks to you and chain. That's 23 signees and 14 of them are HS players. A very good balance of what we need to be competitive immediately and in the future. Like Fritz he's trying. Whether it works out or not remains to be seen.

Way too early to tell if that class will make us competitive immediately. Could be a bunch of bodies needed to fill spots. I want to see Top 20 signing classes. Need to see how many actually enroll in school. Trying? Low bar syndrome. That's the least to expect.

Get the hate for me out of your eyes and go back and read my post. I never said it WOULD make us competitive immediately. I clearly said he's trying to do that by recruiting that way. I also said we'll see if it works or not. Never said trying was enough. I'm the one that brought up the Tulane low bar syndrome many years ago on these boards.

I'm sorry you read it that way. Go back and read my post. I was only giving my opinion on the class nothing more. It wasn't intended to challenge your statement. As far a trying that was a poor choice of words. That's his job.

Well you quoted me rather than just the original post and you certainly made reference to statements I made in mine. So it's clear you were responding to what I posted.

While trying is certainly a part of every coaches job we haven't always had that. We have had them come in as excuse makers from day one and keep asking for more time. My point about Fritz and Jewett is that they both have had time to take stock pf what they inherited and both used the large number of openings available to them to get some players with experience that can hopefully help immediately while still getting a large number of freshman that you build your program with. Neither is asking for time to start winning. I appreciate that attitude after suffering through so many losers.
