Well, this should end the complaints of Fritz not trying to recruit locally. Looks like he's trying to develop and cultivate relationships with local schools.

Clearly not here. Should be in the other Louisiana school forum as it could affect their walk-on programs.

Oregon St now wants him:

Legendre is one of the top athletes in Louisiana, and Oregon State and Tulane want him to play for their programs. Legendre could easily play receiver at the next level, but his ability as a dual-threat passer is certainly appealing to college programs.

Since he received an offer from a P5 school Tulane will back off

That's too bad.

I'm not arguing with you but do you know this as a fact or is this conjecture?

I think it is on page 9 of the SC/RD "playbook'...I think it begins with : "when the 'Big Boys' show up, take it across the street"

Ridiculous
Fritz had to take a year or so to re-set Louisiana recruiting. Looks like it is working.

These last 2 QB offers are pretty interesting. WF tweaking the offense? These aren't option guys. And neither is Scott really. This plumlee kid is really interesting .

I was wondering that myself, galvez. Smith is 6-5, and neither seems to be a RPO type QB. Then again, remember when Fritz was at SHSU, they ran AND threw a lot. Plumlee is 6-1 and fast. They could be looking at him as a DB though. He plays there as well.

I'm wondering too. we are having trouble recruiting the position. The triple option portion doesn't seem to be attractive to prospects b/c few if any run it in HS or at their JC. Maybe an emphasis on the other aspects of our offense while putting the triple option portion behind us can get us in the mix.

Also factor in Brantley , a pure option guy, either being encouraged to leave or not seeing himself fitting, seems something is up. I'm all for the Sam Houston fritz offense myself. It's possible Brantley was a stop gap recruit while WF was still getting his feet wet down here. Either way, these are both interesting prospects. Go watch plumlees hudl reel if you haven't.

All but two of the plays on John Rhys Plumlee's highlight reel were outside zone reads. He looks like an outstanding passer who can run when needed. Isn't Oak Grove the school where Brett Favre volunteers?

I wonder if we've got any interest in this guy, John Picone? His Twitter is followed by coach Fritz and Corey Dauphine among others. He graduated from Mandeville High in 2016 and signed with Texas Tech. Just announced he's transferring and from reading the replies it looks like he's coming back to La. He was listed as a OLB DE. Was a 3 star at the the time he was signed by Texas Tech. .8351

He announced 3 days later that he's transferring to FCS Abilene Christian this spring.
