Tulane only signed two prospects from the state of Louisiana in the 2017 recruiting cycle, but entering his second season, head coach Willie Fritz would like to see that number grow substantially in 2018.
Tulane has sent out a flurry of new overtures to local prospects in recent weeks, in an attempt to get in early with some of the state's top prospects. With just shy of a year before the 2018 recruiting class comes to an end, it is too early to gauge where they may end up, but it is likely they will sign more than two this go-around. Here is a rundown of each of Tulane's in-state offers by alphabetical order.
I posted about that tweet a few days ago. I think the branding on that is spot on. The Roll Wave with the Nike swoosh sign is a great touch.Ruski wrote:https://twitter.com/GreenWaveFB/status/ ... 8873949184

I went to Monroe for the WM-St Amant playoff game . Bolden had tree-fiddy and 5 Tds. Needless to say I was impressed. Breathtaking breakaway speed. And st Amant knew he was comingwinwave wrote:So then we have the inside track!chain gang x man wrote:Slade Bolden is my cousin

Tip my hand before getting a trip to Hawaii? No way I'm doing that.Aberzombie1892 wrote:The fact that he put off committing to Tulane in order to see what Hawaii, San Jose State, and a "few others" have to say kills some of the optimism around him.
Well, he could have committed and then still visited as Tulane isn't in a position to realistically threaten to revoke his offer if he visits other places given how the 2017 recruiting class looked.anEngineer wrote:Tip my hand before getting a trip to Hawaii? Robert, I think me and you absolutely love Mr. Huderson. I can't wait to see him on the field. I'm almost certain we will see him at the next level as long as he keeps developing.RobertM320 wrote:Lindsey Scott was 5'11" when he was a senior, but weighed 205. This guy is 170. Hopefully a senior year would fill him out a bit, but not too much, otherwise no way we'd hold his commit until signing day. Wish there were more people like Stephon Huderson, who committed and stuck with it from day one.
Already linked above.DfromCT wrote:Great article in SI online about Coach Fritz and how he's using the City of New Orleans for recruiting. Tip of the hat to Troy Dannen, whom tweeted a heads up about this article. You need to scroll down the page as the video at the top has nothing to do with Tulane (or the headline, for that matter!)

Plus big brand schools almost always won't target QBs 6'0 or shorter, and, as a result, Tulane could benefit from targeting high end QBs at that height range like Jalen.golfnut69 wrote:I note several post regarding QB's height...in the run-pass-option you complete as many passes with your feet as you do with your arm ...by that, you use your feet to create passing lanes....This Offense demands a mobile QB and actually opens the doors for may "too small" to play QB at some schools,,,they are usually excellent Athletes and can cause many issues for opposing Defenses...so bring me a 5"11/6'0" qb with a solid arm and great feet over a 6"3" qb, with feet of concrete...Tulane has to adapt to schemes to the players they can recruit, not many "pro style" QBs will be enrolling at Tulane anytime in the near future
Pooka's grades and test score may have him headed to JUCO. And to have him as only a 3* is a joke. You have to see this kid play in person, unreal speed and moves and way more power than you'd expect for someone his size.Ruski wrote:I know we offered Pooka Williams super early, like 2015. He was one of the recent high-end recruits to commit to Kansas, seems like he could be persuaded to go somewhere other than a traditional power. I hope Fritz tries to get Fat Rob and Forte to help recruit the kid. The dude is an absolute beast!
I spoke to my cousin who is Slade's grandmother and she told me Tulane was not pursuing him very muchwinwave wrote:So then we have the inside track!chain gang x man wrote:Slade Bolden is my cousin
