Wow. If they land him that would be a coup for sure for their program.Ruski wrote:https://twitter.com/WillGuillory/status ... 9128720384

UNO beat us and made the big dance. Just a thought.uptownprof wrote:According to Nola.com, it is now between Kansas and UNO for Robinson.

I dont get it.
Dunleavy > Slessinger
Tulane academics > UNO
Competition AAC > UNO's
Location is at worst a wash
Minutes to be had in the frontcourt
Why UNO and not Tulane? Is Shammond Williams so pissed at Dunleavy, that he is willing to cut off the nose to spite the face?
I wonder if Mr. Williams is going to get a coaching gig from UNO after heat dies down?tpstulane wrote:UNO beat us and made the big dance. Just a thought.uptownprof wrote:According to Nola.com, it is now between Kansas and UNO for Robinson.

He'd be a good hire. He probably was promised something by WKU and it didn't happen.GreenPuddleSplash wrote:I wonder if Mr. Williams is going to get a coaching gig from UNO after heat dies down?tpstulane wrote:UNO beat us and made the big dance. He's one and done. So it really won't matter. He could end being too much of a distraction for a program like Kansas.DfromCT wrote:Is he really being recruited by Kansas, and considering UNO? Maybe the ties to home are strong, but from a basketball standpoint, they are in different stratospheres.
Don't forget Kansas took in Lester earl , which makes this look like child's play. Anyway, I hate to bash any kid, but he's got 1 and done written all over him. Nothing wrong with that, but he seems such a high maintenance pain in the ass that he probably isn't worth the hassle. Kentucky would be the best fit. They wouldn't even notice he's there and he'd still get drafted. not convinced he can make uno much more than marginally better. Just my impressionShow Me wrote:He's one and done. Haven't classes started at basically every school?uptownprof wrote:This report says WKU may be back in the mix, but I doubt it.

This report says he is leaning towards not going to any college (which is crazy unless he goes to Europe). He will not have access to good facilities to train etc. unless he is thinking of already hiring an agent.

There is also a report out of KU that quotes Bill Self as saying KU is unlikely to add another player this season.
Probably the right thing for the young man. If he's a first round pick, as projected, hard to walk away from that money or risk injury playing for a school he has no intention of getting a degree from.tpstulane wrote:Going pro

Best of luck to the young man...I know the competition down in " Da' Parish ", will prepare him welltpstulane wrote:Going pro

Is this speculation or confirmed flip? His twitter account still shows committed to Tulane. Though articles about his Memphis visit don't sound good. Good news is that we can't really fall any further in recruiting in AAC. Still near or at dead-ass last. And the pipeline for the remainder of this year's class...I must not know where to look...galvezwave wrote:Looks like penny has cherry picked Crabtree to Memphis . We’re down to 1 player in the next class. The name “Moses” better be appropriate. Is there a Jesus out there too?
Speculation on my part. Penny is going to make some noise on the recruiting trail. I don’t know if he’ll revive Memphis or not but he knows the game and the kids know him. Memphis is a lot closer to a turnaround than Tulane.netshorty wrote:Is this speculation or confirmed flip? His twitter account still shows committed to Tulane. I saw a story on tv last week about Memphis and penny. The buzz is real. He’s already flipped better players than Crabtree from better programs than Tulane. I guess our only hope is something better comes along for Memphisnetshorty wrote:yes, unfortunately I think you're right, though not official. i didn't like reading this article:galvezwave wrote:Speculation on my part. If I had to bet he’s gone. Memphis has a higher basketball profile than we do. But he’d do himself better playing for Dunleavy.netshorty wrote:yes, unfortunately I think you're right, though not official. i didn't like reading this article:galvezwave wrote:Speculation on my part.
