He's got offers from six ACC schools (not Duke or NC), plus Ohio State, Butler and Dayton among 18 offers.
Ya, so no dice. Hell we have three PGs on the roster. Waste of time imo.

Juco and transfer bigs, maybe a Sf, that's about it.
He's probably more talented than anyone on the roster. Do we have a true 4 star PG?

The talent we have on the roster was not good enough to compete in the AAC. We need to upgrade, regardless of position, anywhere we can. Remember, this team was good enough for 6 wins against a weak schedule.

Dunleavy has said several times that an ideal offense for him is four shooters and a rim protector. No mention of SGs vs PGs vs SFs or whatever. In last month of season he regularly played two point guards. Why not three on occasion next year? He needs players who can score while he finds a center for down low.

Former McDonogh 35 standout basketball players DeJon Jarreau and Brison Gresham announced their decision to attended UMass together roughly a year ago and Wednesday they announced their intentions to transfer from the program.

DeJon Jarreau was 63rd on ESPN 100 and Gresham was 3 star. I hope Dunleavy at least makes a call.

Caleb Daniels from St. Aug committed to us. Got hurt after his junior year and couldn't play on the AAU circuit which hurt him recruiting wise:

Hadn't heard much about him, but a Youtube search shows that he's a plus athlete with another rung on his ladder. I don't know how ready he is to be a contributor from Day 1, but it never hurts to bring in great athletes into the program and give them time to develop their skills (like Frazier). Feels like a solid late pick up for Dunleavy.

What does Dunleavy think of Tanner Lee? With his vision, size and speed he could be a great grad transfer. That, of course, if he decides not to run track or try professional golf.

<sarcasm> Weary of seeing hundreds of Tanner posts on every thread and thought "Why not here too?"</sarcasm>

let's go to the video and see what we have on Mr Lee....terrible feet and limited vision....time to prepare to work in the pre owned car biz

He committed to Santa Clara.

Dont understand the decision - clearly academics mattered to the kid - Academics, Dunleavy, New Orleans, Decent basketball conference to compete in ... we checked all boxes.
You didn't mention Silicon Valley, California weather or if the kid wanted to go to a Jesuit school. I'm simply asking and reciting what Santa Clara has and Tulane doesn't. (No it's not facilities. Leavey Center only seats 4500. It's a tie there and Hertz is definitely better for practice.)
This is one area where New Orleans may have been a detriment. Coming from a very low crime country like Canada to the one of the cities with the highest murder rates in a country with one of the highest murder rates in the Western world, may have made Santa Clara seem like a better choice.
Please, the Tulane bubble is plenty safe. Santa Clara/San Jose is no walk in the park. The WCC is a joke compared to the AAC.

But an outsider knows nothing about the "Tulane Bubble." At the same time, violent crimes have taken place very close to campus. But that's true with most college campuses as well.

Who knows what drives an 18 year old's decision making?

Um, that is precisely the point of the recruiting process.

I can't find an actual offer from Tulane, but if we did, losing to Santa Clara is bogus. Maybe they told him they would play earlier as we do have some depth at PF. They have a better Bball history (not by much especially recently they are about the same) but their league is a not on the same scale as the AAC as far as talent and exposure. But that university isn't even academically ranked. IDK.

This guy from St Aug just committed today. 6'4", 200lb guard, class of 2017. The article says he averaged 19pts and 12 rebounds a game.
