He was one of two RB's listed in the Mississippi DandyDozen for this year, so he must be decent. He's small, so I'm sure that's one of the reasons he doesn't have more offers yet. 2000 yards gained as a junior, in the highest classification in MS. I'm willing to bet he'll have better offers before Feb.

Good article on the new commit. He's a lot better than he's rating right now, mostly due to exposure, which is explained in the article. He's got good pass catching skills as well. Article describes him as having a skill set that no other back in MS has.

I certainly hope that his non-traditional measurements keep better programs away, regardless of how well his senior season goes.RobertM320 wrote:He was one of two RB's listed in the Mississippi DandyDozen for this year, so he must be decent. Welcome! Mr. Huderson.
Here's a link to his HUDL. He has a great set of jukes and has some great speed. I wouldn't say it's top end speed, but enough to get by most defenders at the high school level.

He's going to graduate in December, so he might plan on enrolling in January.

Huge first game of the season for Huderson. Its still the 4th quarter, Petal leads 56-34, and he's scored 4 TD's already. I'll update with some stats when I get them. This guy's the real deal. Will be a tremendous get for Fritz if we hold onto him.
EDIT: He's got at least 150 yds rushing, and 43 receiving yards.
TD runs of 48, 6 and 53, and a 43 yd TD reception on a wheel route.

Would represent a nice find for what has clearly been a strategy to find "under the radar" prospects. I sincerely hope that more of these unrated prospects continue to outperform.

That's at least 3 TD's this year receiving, so he's definitely a pretty good receiver.
Read more here: http://www.sunherald.com/sports/high-sc ... rylink=cpyPetal's Stephon Huderson had three touchdowns of 36 yards or more as the Panthers handed George County its first loss of the season, 42-30, Friday night.
Huderson, a senior running back who is committed to Tulane, had a pair of 43-yard touchdown receptions from quarterback Tanner Estill and a 36-yard touchdown run.

Thought some of you might find this interesting. This is referring to our commit, Stephon Huderson. Those are some serious numbers for his size.
Petal Strength
@IronPanthers_16 Petal Strength
There is a reason no one can tackle #8. He is relentless in the weight room! 600 lbs squat and 325 lbs power clean! No one works harder!

A 325lb power clean shows outstanding strength, coordination & explosivenessI The 600 lb squat is only impressive if he drops down to below parallel with the top of his thighs. Coach Speer has our guys squatting less weight with a sound technique of deep squats. Any knucklehead can go into a gym and within a year "squat 600lbs" without even his hamstrings reaching parallel. These guys are usually the bozos in the gym who try and impress everyone with how much weight they can lift without giving any consideration to good technique.RobertM320 wrote:Thought some of you might find this interesting. Don't know the answer to that, wave97. Just passing on the info. I did just check his hudl page for his Ht/Wt. He's 5'10", 180lbs. And it says he runs a 4.5 40.

I've been following Stephon Huderson all season long, and its pretty interesting. He wasn't chosen for either the MS/AL All-Star game this year, or another All Star game in MS, even though everyone says he's the best RB in Mississippi. It seems that a couple of years ago there were some eligibility issues that still haven't been resolved, so he got purposely left off the all-star teams.
Does anyone thing he'll be playing next season with a bit of a chip on his shoulder?

Confirmed by Petal: Unfortunately, Stephon Huderson’s eligibility issue from a couple of years ago prevented him from making All-Star teams.
His stats for the last season and a half, not counting the last two weeks.PineBeltSPORTS @PineBeltSPORTS Oct 5

Dude scored 5 touchdowns last week with 250 yards…. I’d love to get a reason to why he wasn’t chosen.

Since week one of the 2015 season, Stephon Huderson has rushed for 3146 yards and 43 total touchdowns. We need an explanation.

Don't forget he has been banged up this season and has missed at least a game. They have also got smacked by the powerhouse high schools in Mississippi this year too, so it's been an off and on type of season for his team. Stephon's numbers are still bonkers and I am still hyped that he's a greenie.RobertM320 wrote:I've been following Stephon Huderson all season long, and its pretty interesting. This is when you know a kid really wants to be here. Stephon Huderson is graduating now, and isn't going to wait until he registers in Jan, he's going to sign an NLI on Thursday.
