Tough decision. P5 and the chance to play for one of the great coaches today.

Otoh, it's Manhattan, KS. And Snyder is year to year as their head coach.

I think this is Snyder's last year.... if he had won 8 games last year he would have retired... but the results last year were hard on him..so one more year...hats off to him he took over the worse program in D-1 football, at the time worse than Tulane, and has done one hell of a job
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Fritz needs another qb and that'll be a pretty good transitional year recruiting class. Intrigued to see what kind of class Fritz can put together with a full recruiting season and hopefully a winning year.

Didn't know he tore his ACL last September. Hopefully he'll be fully recovered by Fall. I'm guessing Fritz will use him on offense as there are needs for playmakers on that side.

This is a big recruit for Coach Willie Fritz. I'm not sure if he'll play WR or CB, or both, but this kid was recruited by some very, very big names. I hope he's healed and ready to play by the time he hits campus this summer.

I know it's Saturday, and the board is pretty quiet, but this announcement should get folks excited.

It's notable that an ACL tear is now considered a bump in the road for an athlete these days. Not even 10 years ago, an ACL tear meant that your athletic career was going to take a significantly lower trajectory. Heck, Harry Giles, one of the top HS basketball recruits in 2016, has suffered not one, but two ACLs, one in each knee. And he's projected to be the top pick in the 2017 NBA draft. Just goes to show how much surgical techniques and physical therapy regimens have come along.

On the other end of the spectrum, getting "your bell rung" was just a normal part of the game, resolved with smelling salts sucking it up. Now it's a threat to the long term well being of both the athlete and the game of football itself.

This was at the bottom of an article from Sunday. Looks like that ACL tear turned out to be more than just a bump in the road.
Jackson gone
Redshirt freshman cornerback Tre Jackson, from University High in Baton Rouge, did not travel with the team to SMU and no longer is on the roster.

Jackson, listed as the top backup to Donnie Lewis at cornerback, played in the first eight games but sat out the final four, making five tackles with an interception. He arrived as one of the highest rated recruits in Fritz first class before being redshirted with a lingering knee problem that dated to high school.

He's gone from the team due to disciplinary issues not the knee issues.
