This kid is a monster. Steward looks like a man among kids on the field for Easton. We need this kid at Tulane! For a big guy, he can move. He has offers from TCU, USM, UNT and ULL. I hope CJ can reel him in before Nick Saban throws him his bait. For those of you who haven't seen him, check him out.
OL Jason "THE BOSS" Steward
Don't know the kid, but being a Warren Easton student in general can he make it academically at Tulane under the current environment? I'd like to know his grades and ACT score.
Be proactive, being reactive is for losers..

Is everyone confusing Jason Stewart with Kenneth Santa Marina?!?? Stewart was our first commitment back in April and I don't think were gone to lose him. Santa Marina on the other hand IS being recruited by Alabama and he is NOT committed to us, though I really hope we get him. Stewart goes to Warren Easton while Santa Marina goes to Mac 35.

Nah. Stewart was at a junior camp at Alabama and Saban praised him. He might shoot him an offer, but you know how recruiting is. What you said about Santa Marina is accurate though.waveclem wrote:Is everyone confusing Jason Stewart with Kenneth Santa Marina?!?? I don't yell. I don't scream. I don't argue. I just hit 'em over the head with a bottle.

I heard from a very good source that Bama is going to go after this kid. You must have been correct about Saban giving him props at that camp. I hope CJ can keep this kid wanted to play for the Green Wave. Our line needs this big fella!

I think we're gonna be able to keep him. Especially after how the offense looked this past weekend. That performance was with an inexperienced line with some talent issues. Imagine that line with him, Godfrey and that other guy? They'd be monstrous. I think he sees this.Eaglewave wrote:AugWave wrote:Nah. Stewart was at a junior camp at Alabama and Saban praised him. I hope you are right because our line really needs this kid. I also heard that he is predicted to go up a star after this season. I really think this is a major recruit for our program.AugWave wrote:I think we're gonna be able to keep him. Especially after how the offense looked this past weekend. A lot can change after the season. On New York sports talk radio (WFAN) they're saying the owner of the Cleveland Browns is going to go hard after Saban. Saban is from Ohio and he coached on the Browns staff with Belichek. If Saban wins another BCS at Bama there's no reason for him to stick around. Money and Power could pull him towards Cleveland. Winning in Cleveland would be the ultimate coaching achievement. In which case, Bama starts over with a new coach.
Public schools like Franklin, Lusher, Easton, Karr, McMain, and Mc 35 are all known for having high college graduation ratings. Steward, who has a 3.71 GPA, should be ok a Tulane. He should really think about taking the ACT again because I was told that he took the ACT in the 10th grade and scored a 19. I really hope CJ can reel this kid in. He is a big/strong kid who we could really use on our line.tpstulane wrote:Don't know the kid, but being a Warren Easton student in general can he make it academically at Tulane under the current environment? Our O-Line is going to be a force for the next few years! CJ has me so pumped up right now!

Looks like you are correct so far. I think this is going to be a very underrated pick up for the Wave.Wave QB wrote:I think he knows that he has a great shot at starting his freshman year. He will sign with us.

I'd like to know as well. But I hope he doesn't read this board, as we've mis-identified him two different ways. Everything I've read spells his name Stewart, with a T instead of a D. And Nola.com states that his teammates have called him BEAR for a couple of years.
