Great stuff coming out of Tulane's new media dept as the coaching staff is out getting in front of prospects. This time of year is huge for connecting with prospects and their families.
If we have the year I think we'll have we'll get a 2020 recruiting class that won't have to spend three years in development.

This is hilarious (literally a good chuckle) all around, but also . . . Even if that was true, good. Football ans basketball arent everything. If we could jump into the top 30 academically that would be amazing (ucsb l, uc irvine, and uc davis being ahead of us are laughable examples of a flawed us news system. Also we should be able to pass rochester and several others. Us being outside of the top 30 is unacceptable. Vandy and Emory have sky rocketed and we have dropped.
Maybe ive had too many drinks (yes), but obviously the P5 bullshit and espn f**ked us. But ill take the AAC reality for 5 years with the new tulane leadership, & TV $$ as we put the G4 locals in the dust and we cross our fingers for strike lightning in a bottle. Which WF could do this year (most likely) or r hunter in 2-3 years (possible but less likely ).
End rant

It was Cowen that really f**ked us. While the collegiate world was undergoing huge transformation, he sat on his lazy a$$ and pontificated his views and philosophies to a constantly shrinking audience. The P5 and ESPN just trampled across the Tulane rubble (academic, athletic and financial) that Cowen created. The Cowen Ditch that we’re in will take years to climb out of. We will never make up the cost of him not positioning us for a P5 spot—he was “above” such trivial matters. He thought he knew far more than everyone else—what an awesome buffoon.Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 1:26 am

Damned right! Cowen saw our USN&WR rankings tank because he was too lazy to get the forms filled out and line the ducks in a row. Cowen hid financial losses that would not have occurred had we leveraged a perfect football season into a P5 invite. He didn't hire Rich Rod because he thought RR would be more powerful than he was. I really wish we would end any and all association with Scott Cowen, the blow hard that did more to hurt Tulane than Katrina did.HoustonWave wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 9:38 am
