That's too bad for him. He clearly identifies as and enjoys d-line (100% of his Hudl reel is d-line). His long term health prospects are looking up with his transition to o-line within a zone blocking rpo. Sorry you've been relegated to bovine status - your future brain will thank you. Good luck to you son!

CWF has landed one of the Panhandle's finest from the HS right down the street. My office manager's son plays on the team with him. Great family and dad is a former NFL'er.

Actually, its got nothing to do with the staff and facilities paying off, and everything to do with the fact you've got 16 players committed right now. By December, you'll fall right back in the pack. You don't really think all those schools below you are going to end up with 4-6 commits, do you?

247 changed their layout a bit, and I thought the bottom of this page was pretty interesting. It has a list of the all-time top recruits for Tulane. I'm assuming this just goes back to when 247 started rating, but what I see as significant is the #2, the #3 and the #4 highest recruits were all in the 2018 recruiting class, only behind Darion Monroe. Bodes well for the future if we can get another class like that.

You can add Howard K Smith to the Ferriday alum list. A former Rhodes Scholar and a former track athletic who held a few records at Tulane

The Raiders' ultra-talented senior Dante Wright, the 2017 PNJ Player of the Year, fractured his big toe during preseason practice and missed the team's Kickoff Classic preseason game.

"He's good now," said Walls, smiling.

That was evident when Wright broke big gains on punt returns, then broke free in the secondary for two touchdowns. He scored the game's first points on a 31-yard play at 10:18 of the second quarter.

He then added a 43-yard score in the second half.

"He helps us on offense, defense, kicking game and he came up with some big plays," Walls said. "He makes one person miss, then will outrun people and that's what he can do."

Wright dropped a weight on his great toe resulting in some damage that should heal without long-term effects. I suspect his used will be somewhat limited for a few more weeks.

We've had one of our recruits flipped by Southeastern Louisiana? Best of luck to the young man. Hope that degree carries him far after his football days are over.
