Two strange things about that article: first the caption under the picture of Dotson
"Scotlandvlle pitcher Destin Dotson (8) pitches in the third inning of Catholic High's 10-0 win over Scotlandville Sunday."
Either his bullpen got shelled or it wasn't one of his best outings.

The second item makes me question if he's a Tulane commit or just holding onto a Tulane offer:
The camp/workshop will be held at Los Angeles Angels’ training facility. College recruiters and professional scouts will be on hand to evaluate the players. Being evaluated is nothing new for Dotson. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound left-hander is among Louisiana’s top prospects for 2018 after leading the Hornets to a school-record number of wins and their first Class 5A playoff win last spring.

Dotson notes that the event comes a week before he plans to commit to a college. He said he has more than 20 scholarship offers, including offers from most state schools, including Tulane, along with several junior colleges. An honor student, Dotson has 4.2 grade point average in Scotlandville’s engineering magnet program and plans a college major in mechanical engineering.
The "event" is going on this week.

Good news as he's considered a top 60 pitcher prospect in the country. I'll try not to hold his love of the Yankees against him.

That’s too bad. I was looking forward to see him develop under Daniel Latham. On the bright side that probably freed up an entire scholarship.

Hate to see us lose him. That's college baseball though.
