Agreed that it would be absolute insanity to allow wide open transferring in football.

It would certainly be disruptive. In theory, it -could- create more balanced rosters across FBS outside from the elite P5s by allowing players that not able to start to transfer to a program where there would be a very high chance that they could start, by, for example, allowing some of the talented players that never see the field at Alabama or LSU to transfer to programs like Tulane and Memphis. Of course, it would likely also result in the elite P5s having more all world starters than they currently do by allowing them to more easily proven players from other P5s/G5s (i.e. Tulane's Parry Nicholson or Jonathan Banks).

Looks like we offered 6'7 OT from Arkansas today. He's rated 3 stars on 247 and Rivals. He announced his top 3 as Arkansas, Arkansas State, and LaTech. Interesting that the sites say he doesn't have an official offer from Arkansas. Other offers of note include Air Force, ULM, Marshall, TxSt.

Just went through the 247 offers page for Tulane. Here are the players currently listed as "warm" interest:

1. Jarveon Howard, 3 star RB, he has Ole Miss, Miss St, USM, and Tulane listed as "warm", on twitter he retweets Stephon Huderson a lot
https://247sports.com/player/jarveon-howard-94285

2. Katerian Legrone, 3 star TE, has App State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tulane, UAB, UCF listed as "warm", no twitter
https://247sports.com/player/katerian-legrone-93925

3. Dequan Jackson, 3 star OLB, has 10 "warm" schools listed only Purdue and Maryland in p5
https://247sports.com/Player/Dequan-Jackson-46038054

4. Jarvis Ware, 3 star CB, UMASS, Oregon, Tulane, and USF listed as "warm", VT and Wake also offered
https://247sports.com/player/jarvis-ware-46039507

5. DaRyan Williams, not rated, Texas State also "warm", TxSt is only other FBS offer
https://247sports.com/player/daryan-williams-46042768

6. Trae Hall, 3 star dualQB/safety, has ULL as other "warm"

Viewing his junior Hudl reel, he's active and athletic at right tackle/guard. His team runs a gun version wing-t with lots of misdirection counter looks which set him up nicely for some devastating blocks.

Thanks for that list, Ruski.

Jarveon Howard looks interesting, but not sure we really have a shot at him. He's rated just a bit higher than our highest commit, Jamiran James of DLS, so he'd be a great get at RB. Crystal Ball prediction lists him as 86% Ole Miss, 14% Miss St. Would be a huge recruiting coup for Fritz if he gets this one.

I am surprised any recruit is still considering Ole Miss...when the hammer drops, it is going to be hard.... no bowls..no TV...limit on signings....but then again Oxford is a beautiful place

Miss St prediction made in March. Ole Miss predictions made between June and mid July. He's retweeted a couple players from Miss St, Louisville, TxSt. But each of them only once. He's retweeted Huderson 3 times. Their high schools are about 40 miles apart, I wonder if they know each other/Huderson is trying to help recruit him. Would be a great get. With Howard the RB stable would be ridiculously deep!

I believe we are going to be set at RB regardless if Mr. Howard commits. With Bradwell switching to full time RB along with talks that Mr. Amare Jones was primarily being recruited at RB, I think our RBs should be fine. Happy hump day, ROLL DAMN WAVE!

I notice that Khmari Thompson is from Lawrenceville, GA. I'm wondering if some of the players we've landed from Georgia the past two years is because Fritz and staff had already been recruiting those players when he was at GaSo. They would have been more likely to be familiar with Fritz and his system, along with his success, because they saw it first hand at GaSo. Over the next few years we may see more LA players and fewer GA players.

That is a pathetic article, even for the T-P. The spelling and grammatical errors are horrendous. "Tualen"? WTF?

That's Jimmy "LSWHO" Smith for ya. The new guy that replaced Guillory has done an ok job with the little space they give him.

Pretty obvious he just mailed that one in. Must be a Cubs fan, too busy drinking his sorrows away to do his job properly.

Tyler Badie. Listed as a 3 star. Any idea if he's as good as his brother?

I'd love it if he was a clone of his brother. Better yet, add 3" and 30 lbs, keep the speed!

Sherman has been a solid contributor and always a threat. But I think his body took a beating that a bigger version might be better equipped to handle.

Tyler Badie is listed as a Memphis commit. He lives in the Memphis area. The only other major offers come from the service academies, Army, Navy, Air Force. But the fact that he posted photos of his brother on his tweet may be promising for us.

Speaking of Sherman, I think he would've made a nice conversion to wide receiver. He's got the speed, and his frame lends itself to that position moreso than rb.

It seems for the last several years now, a number of Louisiana recruits have chosen to go to Kansas instead of staying home. Doesn't look like they're producing much in the way of results.
