Let’s not forget Jake was responsible for our last Top 25 recruiting class that led to two straight Regional appearances. That’s quite a feat at a private school with little to no admin help.
First off again it was rated in the 50's when signed. He then coached them to a losing season. We have had freshman come in and not only contribute but win player of the year awards. so no excuses.
You’re don’t judge a class until they actually make it to campus. You have many HS players sign for Pro ball. So that would change things. It’s where the class ends up after that and transfers are settled in. So it ended up being a Top 25 class.

Even when presented with clear facts your personal agenda lends to a negative bias in your judgement involving anything related to Tulane baseball success during the Jones era so I’ll leave it at that.

Not sure how else you can find a negative in the season Jake just had.

Funny that that's the only Tulane class that we have ever heard that about.

There was no negative. However as someone else posted it's overboard with the way you want to credit him when clearly Henderson drove that ship.

Total disregard for the truth as usual. What's really funny about that is that you are responding to the one person here who has never admitted he was wrong on a substantive issue.

Ok. I guess that’s why they kept Jake and ran Henderson off.
FYI Jake ran the offense and called every play in addition to handling all the defense. You’re dispersing a Tulane alum who could be the head coach at a prominent program soon. Way to show your support for a Tulane HoF’r

Pepper is 1000% correct. And the quote above was posted by the person it applies to the most. And he's arguing with a guy that has the documentation to prove most of his BS is just that. TPS's father covered Tulane sports for decades and literally "wrote the book" on Tulane Football. He himself is a Tulane baseball alum. Yet for some reason, winewave seems to think he can school us all on everything related to any Tulane sport.

Yeah right. As others have noted this was Henderson's show. Give the credit where do. Not disparaging him. He was on the Tulane staff for 5 long years and we never made the post season. Yet you want him to come back and be our HC. Wish him luck but he needs to prove it somewhere else.

Pathetic as usual. He's not his dad. Not even close. He played at Tulane forever ago. He never played at MSU and that's the team we are talking about here.

AC screwed himself. He let his ego and personal life screw up a promising opportunity at a premier baseball program. He has the ability to come back. Many coaches have done things they probably regret only AC did it so soon in his young HC career. He’ll come back somewhere as an assistant and have to build back his reputation. I’m happy for Jake that he came out even better after the early season fiasco.

Three 1st round picks did not sign and have decided to attend school. One is attending UCLA and the other 2 are enrolling at Mississippi State. The two future Bulldogs are pitchers that both played for Rick Jones last summer. Jake doing what he does. Extremely rare to hold onto two 1st rounders.

Yes D , they hired the Indiana coach the day after they were eliminated from the CWS, You somehow missed the "discussion" about whether MSU was an elite program or not.

Now that you mention it, I do remember that discussion, one of the few I decided not to participate. Did Gautreau keep his position at MSU?

It was largely in jest. That said State's Baseball program has more value than many realize, it has huge value to the university. For D it is akin to BU or BC hockey.

Definitely under Polk but they were in the CWS before he was there and have been twice since he left. 2013 and this year.
