Attorney General Luther Strange has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to put a hold on Granade’s order since justices are expected to issue a ruling later this year on whether gay couples have a right to marry nationwide. The high court had not ruled on the state’s request with just hours to go until courthouses open on Monday morning.

Looks like the governor of Alabama may name former Tulane basketballer, Luther Strange, as the U.S. Senate replacement for Jeff Sessions. Apparently Luther is the current Alabama Attorney General and had already announced his intention to run for the U.S. Senate seat. Another political Greenie.

I haven't really delved into this story but I heard that the Gov of Alabama was about to be impeached when AG Strange convinced the legislature to hold off because he was also investigating.

So they didn't mpeach.

Then the Gov Appoints Strange to the Senate and now will appoint a new AG

Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.

I'm sure this is just 'fake news', but CNN has picked up the story. What a blast from the past when Gov. Bentley states: "I did not have sex with that woman!".

That's bizarre. I know it doesn't have anything to do specifically with Luther, but I just read those two articles. Goes to show once again how wrong polls can be. In the readingeagle article, it was posted before the results were totalled, but it talked about how in the Dem primary, there was a candidate named Robert Kennedy, Jr, an African American military veteran, who was polling at 49% vs Doug Jones. In the nytimes article, it has the actual election results, and Jones got 63% of the Dem vote, to 18% for Kennedy. Wherever they were getting their polling numbers from, they might want to find a different source.

As for Luther, he'll have an uphill battle. Seems he never polled more than 35% and he got 32% today, vs 39% for Roy Moore. And both Moore and Brooks have linked Strange to McConnell, so you figure Brooks' support will go to Moore.

Luther had become the answer to a trivia question.
When was the first time Trump admits to making a mistake?

I feel very blessed not to live in that state.

Moore beats Strange! Good to see, anyone endorsed by Mcconnel needs to lose.

Too bad. Now the only Tulane jersey on the wall in the senate will come down. Luther contributes to the Green Wave Club and is an active member in the Letterman’s Club (formerly known as the T Club). He’s a good guy. Just got caught up on the wrong side of a political battle.

If Yall haven't figured it out by now , the establishment will be gone. Sucks for Luther but he was backed by establishment and Roy Moore supported what trump campaigned on and was outsider. The movement is bigger than trump. These bozo republicans and dems are trying their hardest to get rid of trump with all of these fabrications and special counsels but even if they did the movement would not go away. They think it will go back to normal where they could screw over american people and be bought and paid and make millions. People are tired of these politicians , trump or not , trump won because of his policies , not because of who he was as a person . The train is not going to stop....trump or no trump this swamp will be drained in next 10-15 yrs.
