Never knew him, but good to see him in recovery. He seems to be happy now.
I stopped over to visit him on Thursday he's really a trouper. Probably the worst part of his injuries is his left leg. He had multiple lacerations through muscles, ligaments and tendons in his quad and calf. That leg is what's keeping him bed ridden. He really can't move it until the muscles heal. But he's doing pretty well as you can see by that smile on his face. He's getting plenty of well wishers including a video Peyton Manning sent him. The WBB team had a jersey made for him with Liberto on the back. He got a few other things from former Tulane players to cheer him up.oliveandblue wrote:Never knew him, but good to see him in recovery. He seems to be happy now.

That's the plan exactly.wavemania wrote:Prayers for the family. I do see he must be a very smart young man. Only the best and brightest get into Christian Brothers. Most end up at Jesuit afterwords.

Pretty much. When I went there, half my eighth grade class went to Jesuit, the other half to DeLaSalle, except for a few of us. A couple went to Brother Martin, and myself and one other ended up at Rummel. My parents basically said, "There's no reason to go all the way to DeLaSalle (where I wanted to go) when there's a perfectly good Catholic high school right here in Jefferson Parish." Can't say I'm disappointed in their decision. Of course, how times have changed. My sister ended up taking her son to a half dozen schools and let him pick. He ended up at Brother Martin, even though they live off of Clearview in Metairie. Tough commute when Rummel was 5 minutes away.wavemania wrote:Prayers for the family. Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Thanks for asking. Quote from his dad:winwave wrote:Any updates?
Joseph is actually taking the entrance test
in wheelchair as I write this.
Jesuit had a table ready for him.
Pray right now, because he is taking the test.
A Hail Mary might be the prayer of choice.
