Seeing TU on the sidebar makes me smile. TY Cairo and the special teams folks for this huge bright spot.

Good for him and good for the entire program. Now let's build on it and send some more!

Who was the last AP All American from Tulane?

I believe Marc Zeno made it..

Last first team was Zeno in '87.

Looks like Jones and Mitchell Price were non-first team the next year.

Surprising no one from '98 made anything. Or Marler the year he won Groza...

On edit: Looks like Marler won the FWAA All-American in '01, but not AP.

JAZZ: Tulane junior kicker CAIRO SANTOS is officially one of the most-decorated players in school history. After winning the Groza Award as the nation's best kicker, he received consensus All-American honors this week. He is only the fifth player in Tulane history to do so. Santos racked up first-team All-America honors from The Associated Press, Sports Illustrated, the Football Writers Association of America and Phil Steele's First Team All-America. He made 21 of 21 field goals this season, including a 57-yard kick. He was only the second player in FBS history to stay perfect when attempting 20 or more field goals in a season.

SB Nation names him a pre-season All American. Sadly we are the only team that does not have an emblem. Makes me sad.

Is Santos going to be available for Syracuse, or is he still dealing with family issues?

Just like they do in Chicago !!!!
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

I love Santos but his last second missed field goal attempt at the end of the fourth quarter and that dumb pass decision/ interception by Nick Montana cost us the win in the New Orleans Bowl. Bring on Tanner Lee from Jesuit as our number one QB next year!
