I wish the Saints would make a run. He would be incredible in a Patriots uniform.

Pretty funny watching McGinest try to start off his question with the intention of implying that "later in your career it's not about the contract but winning Super Bowls" and tries to use himself as an example.

Then, mid-sentence he realizes that he left the Patriots for the Browns.............for the $$$$.

No longer a Bear. Team elects not to re-sign him.

Good for him, his talent was not being used to best advantage in that offense. Still got plenty left in the tank.

I can see him landing in Seattle or NE. Hope he gets a ring.

Matt will be able to pick his destination. There's quite a few teams that need a RB that can catch, too.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

It's being reported all over the New York Area that he's going to the Jets. So much for Forte winning a Super Bowl, at least not with the Jets.

If NE or Seattle was not interested maybe his options were limited and NYJ offered the best guaranteed contract...he ain't gettin' no younger...that way he can donate more to TAF

Good night w/100 rushing and three TD's in a Jets win. Camera trained on him after the game leaving the field.

Congrats to him. He had a good career. May he stay healthy after the pounding he took playing on such bad teams.

Matt was probably the hardest working athlete I knew. When he was in school at Tulane I would see him in the off-season working out like a dog at the Reily Center. He was relentless. Then he would run up levees and hills to build up his leg strength. No one outworked him. He got every last bit of ability out of his body. For him to retire he probably knew his body and it was time. Great Tulane guy. He would occasionally come back in town and play in the Tulane Golf Classic. I’m glad to say I saw him play and got to know him a little from the gym and out on the golf course. Definitely would rank in the top three Tulane NFL greats in my book.

I'm just curious, t, who would be thd other two and who just got knocked out? (Whomever it was leave him in and make it a Mount Rushmore of Tulane NFL greats.)

Possiblities:

Eddie Murray
Steve Foley
Lionel Washington
Tommy Mason
Richie Petibon
Max Magee
Mewelde Moore

I'm sure I'm forgetting others.

Who ya got?
Welcome to gotula.net, where it's never too late to mention Tanner Lee, Andy Cannizaro, Lindsey Scott Jr., Rich Rodriguez, David Pierce, or, of course, Scott Cowen. You see, no horse here is so dead that it cannot be beaten just a little bit more.
