Just had a great shot of Ryan on the Saints sidelines vs Miami (he's dressed like a coach and has a headset on)

He was about to be signed by the Rams. Heck, he might have gotten to play there.
But this is the best developmental spot for him.

CONGRATS GRIFF!!! I'm sure it's a significant pay raise, too! Well deserved.

It speaks well of Griffin that the Saints wanted to keep him badly enough that they made the move to block another team from getting him.

He had a great camp. His folks live in California so he going to work out with Drew Brees over the summer out there. Said some nice things about Tanner Lee and Derrick Strozier. Told us Steve Foley was instrumental in his coming to Tulane. Said playing under CJ was very beneficial in learning the Saints terminology. Great kid, hope he makes it to the backup spot.

What did he say about Tanner Lee? I'm starved for Tanner Lee news.

Can't remember details but the one thing that stuck out was, "he's got game"....

I'm still looking for excuses to slow down the Tanner Lee hype train but I don't find any. No one will accuse me of being easily overly optimistic. :D

Does Tanner Lee have any strong current players wide receivers, tight ends and running backs that can catch the ball out of the back field like Matt Forte or incoming freshman that he can connect with? Are they working together this summer privately to develop a throw catch relationship for the fall season? Also we need a great offensive line and running backs to take the pressure of Lee's throws.

How does RG know Tanner Lee?
I expected CJ to recruit California some. I still think he should.

He said last year he saw around 8-10 practices at the Saints facility. If Tulane was practing at the Saints facility on Airline Drive RG would arrival early to watch or stay after on days he worked out over there with the Saints.
CJ's Saints connection has been invaluable in so many ways.

I don't know what games you were watching. Particularly his Senior year, Griff moved the team heads and shoulders better than anyone else the past few years. He set up the blocking, made audibles, and generally made everything go. When he was hurt, the offense was anemic, at best. The team was pretty bad, but Griff was clearly a bright spot. He was also WAY, WAY, WAY better than anyone that took snaps in 2013.

Going into week 3 of the preseason Ryan leads the NFL in passing efficiency with a 118.9 rating and he's 2nd in passing yards at 358.
