Tanner had a solid combine.
Most of his physical testing went well, too. He had a vertical jump of 32 inches (second) and a broad jump of 9 feet, 7 inches (second). He ran the three-cone drill in 7.00 seconds (tied for seventh) and the 20-yard shuttle in 4.41 (12th).
He’ll also participate in Nebraska’s pro day March 14th. He’s currently projected late round pick at best. Everyone loves his skill set but his college game day INT’s have them cautious.

Maybe they found his sport. Either that or the high jump.

Lol. That was surprising to me. It show he does have some athletic ability there.

I guess I’ll eat a lemon...I can’t believe he was drafted before Jt Barrett

CBS grades the pick---D

"Lee has an above-average arm. Immense accuracy and decision-making issues. Crumbles under pressure.
Strong-armed quarterback who's not a consistently accurate thrower and isn't comfortable with pressure mounting. Rare flashes of high-level quarterback play. Many instances of bad decision-making and poor ball placement.

Wish him all the best. Hope he gets coached up and learns to use the gift he has in his arm to the best of his ability. Go Tanner!

His arm works for him and against him. He trust it too much to make every throw. As for the pressure comment the fact is he's played behind two bad offensive lines. He's going to the Jags who are getting themselves together. Hope it works out well for him.

More like mediocre offensive lines. His limited mobility made those OLs look worse. I do think he is worth a 6th round pick in case the light comes on but I highly doubt he will ever be more than a clip board holder at best which I predicted along with him being a future late round pick several times on this 85 page thread.

I can understand this one. I never thought much of him as a quarterback and have been extremely critical of him, but I hope the kid does well.

Happy for Tanner getting drafted. It may give him a better chance of sticking around. Hopefully he can live up to the expectations he came here with and fulfill them on Sundays.

I hope you're right. In the meantime, stolen from another site:

"Jags must want their defense to practice returning interceptions."

1st Nebraska QB to be drafted in over 25 years.
1st in the Big Ten and 10th QB overall.

He's tall and white so many say he's not mobile. He moves in the pocket just fine when he was afforded one behind those bad lines he played behind. Those lines have stunk no matter who played QB. He also runs well in space. It will be a matter of whether he can overcome his trust in his arm.

does not say much for the quality of QB's in the BIG or the overall quality of QB's in the draft !!!!

It says a whole lot more about the quality of QB's that Nebraska has had than anything else. I believe we've had 3 QB's drafted (King, Ramsey and Losman) since Nebraska's last drafted QB. Was that Scott Frost, their new coach?
