My thougths and prayers are for this fine young man and his family.. I usually "post", right before the first game, that we, as fans take the time to pray for and appreciate all of the young people, no matter the team, who go "between the lines" for our entertainment..I feel bad, that I did not post that this year... I know "back in the day" I thought I was a pretty good Athlete..I look at the players today and realize just how talented they are and how limited my abilities were... May God in his wisdom bless this young man and his family

any info on the Hospital Devon was taken to...
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

I urge all Tulane supporters to go out of their way to send Devon your well-wishes anywhere you see an article about him so there is no chance that he and his family doesn't know that Tulane fans have him in our thoughts and prayers. Its bad enough these guys have to play with little to no fan support, but when something like this happens I think we have to go all out to comment so that they will know that their efforts and the risks they take on behalf of Tulane football is appreciated.

Most definitely praying for DW and family. God Bless.
Tulane didn't have a stadium issue it had a program and facilities issues. To the new President- we want a new AD , a football facility and an IPF. We want top 25 programs in football and basketball the only two sports that count.

Some scary stuff here.......
Devon Walker suffered a spine fracture after taking a blow to the head right before halftime of Saturday's game against Tulsa in H.A. Chapman Stadium. He will need spinal surgery, doctors said. It's unclear whether the injury has caused any paralysis.

The college football nation, with thoughts of paralyzed Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand still fresh in their minds, poured out a rash of Twitter support, creating a #prayersfordevon hashtag and also expressed support via Facebook. LeGrand also fractured his cervical spine. His injury came Oct. 16, 2010, against Army. While making a tackle he fractured his C3 and C4 vertebrae, resulting in paralysis from the shoulders down. It is unknown what vertebrae Walker fractured, and there was no word on his long-term prognosis.

Tulane Dr. Greg Stewart (when asked about paralysis for Devon Walker): we won't know anything for 24-48 more hours until swelling goes down.
Coach Curtis Johnson says Devon Walker's parent are in route to Oklahoma. CJ Says he'll do whatever needed to help them.
