The courage Devon displays with how he's handled his injury overshadows what he accomplished as a football player, which was a hell of a lot. To walk on and become a starter, and captain, was incredible. He truly is the epitome of "man up".

In case anyone is counting, the game against Tulsa will be the 18th game since Devon was injured.

As much as I knock Rick Dickson, I must give him a huge thumbs up for the job he's done caring for Devon Walker. If he did his job as AD half as well as he's done for Devon Walker, Tulane would already be in the Big XII.

No doubt Rick Dickson has been outstanding in seeing that Devon and his family is being given all the assistance as possible to make his recovery go as smooth as possible.

I have been a very vocal in my displeasure of RD's on job performance...But I must admit he has gone many extra miles for Devon...for that, he gets a tip of the Cap from me.

Never been prouder of my alma mater. Thank you, Devon Walker.
And the 2013 Spirit award goes to Devon Walker
Man I couldn't watch this without shedding a tear. No one could have possibly been more deserving than # 18.
And BTW, RD actually had a tie on. He must have purchased it in Orlando, since we know he doesn't have one in New Orleans...well, he will now if he brings that one home. And I'm wondering who tied it for him because I'm guessing he didn't remember how to do that from whenever was the last time he wore one.

I missed it, but have searched twice today for a vid clip of the Red Carpet and the actual awarding. From all accounts, #18 makes us all proud to be Tulanians.
GOD BLESS YOU Devon Walker!
