And wasn't Daniels the one player that seemed most "on board" following his introduction? Something isn't right here.

That was my impression as well - gave very favorable quotes to reporters.

Hard to assess fully until we know what the other school is. Maybe he was already looking before the coaching change and maybe got an offer he couldn’t refuse?

The one player you needed to stay. What a blow for Ron Hunter. Needs to re-recruit his best player.

It was said elsewhere that he and his father met with Hunter to flesh out what Hunter's plan was and what Caleb's role would be. That was the day after Daniels made those very positive public remarks. So not all that surprising.

And I thought we were a point guard away from making the final 4!

Obviously, Caleb knows that this turnaround would take longer than 2 years.

Where was that said? And what in the world could Hunter have said in one conversation that would trigger this?

Daniels and Crabtree appear to be entering the transfer portal in the spirit of captialistic opportunism. I wouldn't be surprised if Moses Wood and Kevin Zhang did the same. This is definitely not a done deal.

While I don't blame ANY player for exploring options, if they want to leave, fine. If they want to stay, great. This is not going to be a 1 year rebuild either way. I just hope Hunter can recruit players that can make it at Tulane, and that he's already started recruiting, not waiting until after the Final Four as he said in his introductory presser.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

I I believe he said he’d start the process of “meeting all the HS coaches in Nola” after the final 4. Not start recruiting. I thought I read it that way .

Anyway, this is the worst Tulane basketball team I have ever seen in 48 years. They can all leave . Bye .

Daniels and Sehic were the best two of a very bad lot. Anybody coming off this AAC O-fer team, will be lucky if any team gives them as much an opportunity as they will get with Tulane and Coach Hunter. Any talk about NBA opportunities is laughable at this point. They might get a sniff from some European teams. While they daydream in the Transfer Portal, I hope Hunter is filling his roster. The Transfer Portal can work in two directions.

You're right galvez that is what he said. As to recruiting it's an NCAA dead period from Thursday till after the Final Four. He knows what he's doing.

+1,000,000. Word is we might get one of his better recruits from GSU and a couple of other names have come up as visiting us soon. He's working it.

Perry started from scratch. I agree; let them ALL go. They have been an embarrassment (largely due to coaching). It is hard to put it all on the players, but they were the ones on the floor.
