From the Nunez article this morning:

"The Green Wave has a knack for following each forward step with steps backward in the past five years. Tulane hasn’t won more than two games in a row during that stretch and often follows a convincing win with a colossal face plant."

That about sums it up.

Robert1969 wrote:This is awful. Missing tackles. Can't block. It's Duke for fucks sake it's not frickin Oklahoma. This is awful. Quite often we are in position and just whiff. And knowing the history of this football team it will just get worse in the second half.
Total lack of execution on defense. Its not like Duke's doing anything different or special. They're just taking it to us. On offense we have no creativity. Down 31-10 with two minutes left, and we come out in a 2 WR, 1 TE, 1FB, 1RB formation. WTF?

ESPN3 just ran an interesting story on the Stoops family. Maybe we can get one of the younger Stoop brothers as our next coach.

Toledo will be a disaster long after he is gone. This team will need to run the spread to compete in CUSA and the players he has recruited are to big and slow.

The offensive linemen are going to be a problem when we convert to a modern offense (which I hope is not a pass-happy spread). Unfortunately, Toledo has stacked a couple of more already for this class (the two local kids are okay; one is really good and the other is smaller, but I assume quicker). But we have really good running backs. Not sure about QB behind Griffin.

Dickson's going to have to put up some money. And really, he needs to be gone too (we can't afford his continued damage) and his successor should pick the coach.

We should have started the second half with an onside kick. Wouldn't have hurt.

Man do we get jacked or what? No turnover, AND their QB comes back in? Thats pretty BS.

Everyone on the Duke offensive line is a freshman or a sophomore, and their killing us. 38-10.

And the two good plays we make defensively won't count. An inadvertent whistle and a player not getting back inbounds will cost us two turnovers.

You'er down by 28 = 4 scores. You kick a FG. You're still down by 4 scores. You gained .... what, exactly?

Duke, 8-11 on 3rd down. On the three times they didn't convert, they converted twice on 4th down, and kicked a FG once. We have not stopped them ONCE, other than the INT.

That Toledo defense ranks right up there with his WCO and special teams.

I'm done. I've got better things to do than this. Until we get a coach that gives our players a chance to win, I'm done.
