Offense looked pitiful on that last series before the half.
The series ending with Santos 56 yard attempt.

Defense is playing strong.
Offense is bland with play calling. We were running the ball decent 1st quarter but 2nd quarter we are flat. O-Line has no clue how to pick up a delay blitz. Montana is doing better than against ULM but we need some crisp passes in the seams.
Nico Marley is a little monster. Our secondary is the strength of the team by far they make great open field tackles and it seems they have fixed giving up the big plays.

Defense pitches another first half shutout. The offense better pick it up!

Not happy with the play calling there. Should have had at least one run in that sequence to milk some time off the clock. Giving it back to UNT with 1:36 left at their own 40 yard line wasn't smart.OUG wrote:They were like 57 yards!wavefan03 wrote:Santos missses two field goals!
Overall, defense playing solid. 20 yards rushing and only 71 yards total offense for UNT. Tulane has 43 rushing, 131 total.
First downs 10-3, Tulane.
Game not as close as the score, with us fumbling inside the 10 once and also missing a FG. North Texas hasn't gotten close to scoring territory.

In other conference games today,
golfnut must be crying, as UTSA trails Marshall, 33-10 in the 4th quarter.
Rice leads Tulsa, at Tulsa, 24-10 just before half.
FAU leads UAB, 29-23 in the 3rd.
East Carolina 14, Middle Tennessee State 10 at half.
Southern Miss and Florida International tied at 14 in the second quarter. USM must be worse than even the Vegas people expected.

I agree, felt that a draw play on 3rd and ten from the 35 would have protected the FG there and this would be a two score gameRobertM320 wrote:Not happy with the play calling there. The offense can't score so special teams and defense will do it!

Great job by Doss!!! It may be just me but every time I see someone walking in for a TD, I always get nervous they're going to drop the ball before crossing the goal line. There's been too much of that lately.
