Wave goes bowling with a win over SMU. Memphis scored 66 pts. yesterday on the Ponies. Banks, Hillard, Badie & Brantley should run wild on these guys. And, if our passing game clicks like against Houston together with a good defensive effort, in spite of a good SMU passing attack, we should win this game.
Line Closing SMU 7 pts. > Tulane – The Spread Thread
O/U 67.5 pts. Vegas expects a real "fireworks show" beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams should move the ball but we have a lot more defense then they do. Hopefully Banks we be "on" for Saturday. Since SMU's defense is a joke, and assuming we don't lay an "on the road egg", i.e. FIU, this is another very winnable game for the Wave.
I surprised the line is still +8. I would have thought that was too many points to spot the Wave. Looks like a spot where you can get the points and have a legitimate shot at an outright win.
Be proactive, being reactive is for losers..

Line closing SMU 7 pts. > Wave. First movement for the spread from 8 pts. all week; some late money on the Wave. The ESPN Power Index has it SMU 72.7%, Wave 28.3%, but then this is the same Nate Silver group that picked Clinton > Trump.
