What’s far worse than that is that who believes Tulane will win six next year? With UAB, Ohio State, and Wake Forest OOC along with the same conference schedule this season (only reversed home/away), a bowl season will probably be too big of an ask even with decent transfers.

Fritz would probably still get a 4th year without a bowl in years 1-3, but should he get it?
I think next year will be his last . no grambling on the schedule, all OOC games are losses. Another 3-9 or worse. 147 people in yulman (counting band and staff).nichols state might beat us. They'll have to pull the trigger at that point.

Sader I agree with your comments above.....Tulane will not win another game this season...ECU is more physical than Cincy...Houston and SMU are more physical than both ECU and Cincy and actually have an offense......TD, WF..do the right thing, save some expense money and just forfeit the remaining games...or you can now ask for a 5,000.00 Seat License Fee for those purchasing Season Tickets........This OL is one of the worse I have ever seen...zero footwork and balance and terrible hand work....these guys need a "Dancing With The Stars" instructor and a Mister Miyagi for some "Wax On Wax Off" exercises....

Anyone have a link to the fritz presser from after the game? I was too disgusted to do anything after the game and want to parse his words after I’ve cooled down a bit.

gps- The players , the fans and the media all said the passing game finally opened things up for the running game that was getting stuffed. Amazingly Fritz said the running game got going and opened up things for the passing game. He's delusional at this point.

At least the false belief that we CAN'T pass has finally been put to rest. Basically 200+ each of the last three games. Yesterday Banks completed almost 71% of his passes (17-24) for 196 yards. And it wasn't like we were throwing a lot this week because we were way behind.

I think Fritz keeps hearing Darryl Royal..."three things can happen when U pass, and two of them are bad"

You gotta feel for Hilliard. He’s now had four TDs called back because of penalties. FOUR! That must be an NCAA record.

I read some of it over on Yoggie. It was nauseating. The guy is clueless.

His pressers are those of a coach who knows he has a 0.0% chance of being fired. If an SEC coach pulls that, he's out after his next loss.

We don’t deserve to win another game. Biggest laughing stock of a football program in the nation.
Am I wrong, or were you the guy that advocated giving Fritz an extension after the Tulsa game?

We aren't serious about big time football at Tulane. We don't belong in the American Athletic Conference. Our overall conference record countinues to prove it. We just don't have what it takes to be a contender in the AAC. We don't have what it takes to finish above 500 in this conference. I won't be shocked if we lose to ECU.

Three games left in year 2 and WF has won only 2 AAC games.

The poster post for the problem with Tulane : it's afraid of competition. With a drop in conference would come a drop in recruiting and as our days in CUSA show we would be a bottom feeder there too.

He wishes he called time out on 4th and one (I was looking at computer screen wondering why he didn't). No wonder he had no job security if I was AD after hearing his post game crap ( 3 weeks in a row) he would be an the ex coach of Tulane.

Here's your box score for the game... It's not pretty.

Time of Poss:
TU: 29:59
Cinci: 30:01

First downs:
TU:16
Cinci:19

3rd down conversion:
TU:4-12
Cinci:4-11

Total Yards:
TU:328
Cinci: 456

Passing Yards:
TU:196 yards (Banks 17-24 completions) (Mooney 7 catches for 115 yards, Clewis 5 for 49 yards, Encalade 2 for 14 yards)
Cinci: 248 yards (moore 18-27, 1 TD) (Geddis 3 for 54 yards, Gray 2 for 49 yards 1 td, Pickney 1 for 40 yards)

Rushing:
TU:132 yards (Banks 10 for 75 yards 1 td , Hilliard 18 for 40 yards, Bradwell 3 for 14 yards)
Cinci:208 yards (Doaks 17 for 149 yards, Moore 8 for 39 yards, Boone 6 for 20 yards 1 td)

Penalties: (refs sure did try to help us)
Cinci:12-123 yards
TU:6 for 39 yards

Y'all know the story, y'all watched the game. There's not much to say about the game besides being truly disgusted with the product put out on the field for homecoming. O-line = bad. Secondary = bad. DLine = bad. Everyone knows I've been a big WF homer and this was the first game that I've lost some faith in him. I will forever remember that 4th and 1 on the 13 and getting a false start to make it a 4th and 6 and then the kick that looked like a lay person trying an All-State field goal contest at halftime. Just bad. Will we make a bowl game this year? I'm not going to hold my breath.

Hell no we won't make a bowl game this year. I think we have a better chance of not winning another game than we do of winning the last three.

Prior to Tulane's collapse and Houston's revelation at QB with King replacing Postma, I figured Houston at home was Tulane's best chance of defeating any of the other teams in the AAC West beyond Tulsa. However, as noted, that seems completely off the table at this point given Tulane's losses to FIU and Cincinnati.

Tpstulane's note that Fritz has only defeated 2 AAC teams since he has been Tulane's coach with 3 games remaining in his second year is glaring.

Even worse is the fact that one win, UCONN, came against a really bad team that had also quit on the season. The other win, Tulsa, was against a bad team that didn't want to play that day due to the hurricane situation.
