People post this two or three times a week. Our starters and 2nd, and even third team players don't try to stimulate the opponent. As a matter of fact, there's little time spent during the week with the starters on both sides of the ball playing against one another. What the Offense runs has little affect of how the Defense prepares. There's something called the Scout Team. And yes, they aren't anywhere near as good as the opponent, but every team runs an inferior scout team and rarely has the 1's going against the 1's full speed during the season.

And this outcome is NOT just due to admissions standards. We could beat Memphis like a drum for years with the same differential. We just haven't been any good in a long time.
We haven’t beat Memphis in a decade.
I know. We've been worse than they have. There were years were both were REALLY bad, but Memphis has hired good coaches that even though they move on, they keep building. Norvell will be gone soon, and for good reason. Does anyone think Fritz is getting that P5 offer?

Franklin with the INT. A score before the half at least keeps interest.
Zero chance that WF gets an offer from anybody. But if he somehow did, he’s gone because he now realizes how effed up Tulane is.
To win in this league you have to run an offense similar to USF, UCF and Memphis. We just don’t have any type of pass attack.

Largely because we haven’t had an OL in over a decade. WF better go to Siberia or Mars to find some decent O lineman, or this agony will continue.

You can’t be serious. We don’t look well coached. Fritz’s system won’t win at the P5 level. He isn’t getting any offers. He might have to return to Sam Houston’s league if he wants to coach a winning program again.

You can’t be serious. No scheme or philosophy can work when you have incredibly inferior athletes. Any offense needs an offensive line, and we haven’t had one for at least a decade. WF is one of only about five active coaches with 200 wins. WF failure at Tulane will prove that the problem is Tulane.

And an even greater TD! We’re 2 scores down now. I’ll let y’all know if things get even better.

Bad decision like last week with the on side kick. Down two scores with plenty of time. Defense is playing much better.

Pisses me off that we literally spot them 35 points. And why in the hell are we onside kicking it right now?!

Don’t hold your breath. But yes, like the USF game, we could be in for another great moral victory.

Fritz has never coached at this level. His system is setting offensive Football back 50 years. 200 wins at Juco, Div 2. If he doesn’t put together a legitimate passing attack he won’t win in the AAC or P5 and I don’t care what school he’s coaching at. In addition, he’s doing a terrible job recruiting Louisiana. That’s on him, not Tulane!

There will be no passing game without an offensive line. Louisiana doesn’t produce enough offensive linemen, especially given our self inflicted admission standards for athletes—that is on Tulane. Louisiana does produce many skilled position athletes, and we have several of them—all mitigated by no O line.

Bowden and RR went 12-0 with not much different OL. They were able to wear teams out with the no huddle. We were small on the line but ran an offense that took advantage of our skill players.

We had a very different O line back then. And frankly, the entire college football world was different then. To talk about 1998 now is t much different than talking about 1968. And the Tulane clown act on offense continues with the center snapping it into the TE thigh—do you think WF and his staff drew that one up.

Lol. The most Tulane drive I’ve ever seen. Wide open TD missed by Banks that a a good high school QB could have completed. Followed up by snapping into the motion mans legs, recovered by Memphis for a TD. That should have a picture of Tulane next to it in Webster’s.

Fritz didn’t learn last week with the on side kicks. Plenty of time and his defense is playing well, so why give Memphis a short field!

The OL under Bowden was way more talented than the one we have now. It wasn’t just the scheme. Teevans was not a good coach but he did recruit some good linemen.
