Yes. I'm sure they bid high on it. Probably won't draw well though.golfnut69 wrote:seems like a strange choice of venues

They didn't draw well in Hartford, either. Except, of course when the Huskies were on the court.tpstulane wrote:Yes. I'm sure they bid high on it. Probably won't draw well though.golfnut69 wrote:seems like a strange choice of venues

At first glance it is an odd choice. But when you factor the proximity to the other schools it really is somewhat logical. SMU, Houston, Tulsa and Tulane are all a lot closer to DFW than Hartford. And Fort Worth is pretty easy to get to if you're flying in.

GASP !!!! you left out Wichita State...(not to be confused, with Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman )DfromCT wrote:They didn't draw well in Hartford, either. Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

It seems like SMU would have a home court advantage if they are good in any of those years.

YOU NEED LEVERAGE TO BE PROACTIVE!
Small time facilities for small time programs
6-4-23:Now all of the mistakes Tulane has made finally catches up with them as they descend to CUSAAC.

Have we given the AAC reason to award Tulane being the host city?
I don't like Memphis hosting basketball championships. They've had that home court advantage dating back to the days of the Metro Conference. And Dana Kirk still sucks!
