I know it's only preseason but why not have it on Sunday? Wow F'g brilliant going up against the Saints in their first home game of the year. No wonder we can't get fans out for Tulane events. I feel bad for CJ I bet he had nothing to do with that date and time.

Smh.. Is it really that difficult? Why in the hell would you schedule it during a Saints game? :x

Supposedly it's a Ray Hester Club production.

I'm still holding Tulane 50% responsible because it's a Tulane fundraiser. Dumb because I'm sure Ray Hester has to coordinate this with Tulane to get the Wilson Center, especially since it's being held there and Tulane has to provide staff for the event. It sucks because like me, I'm sure a few other Tulane fans would have attended but have Saints tickets or Saints party's that night.

It's ultimately a Tulane production and the staff should certainly be aware of the calendar. They just don't want to work as usual.

The idiot response is to blame the fans. Like people can't be die hard fans of both. Not to mention money already spent on tickets. Typical. Always defend no matter how big or little the screw up. Now that's a bad fan who contributes to the pathetic state of the program.
Tulane didn't have a stadium issue it had a program and facilities issues. To the new President- we want a new AD , a football facility and an IPF. We want top 25 programs in football and basketball the only two sports that count.

I think a pre-season game(the first one) or a pre-season party will affect some, but not the majority of Tulane Fans. Minmal hurt in my opinion. Green Bay Fans are just as rabid, but missing one of these exhibition games just doesn't seem very crucial to me. Of course, that's just me.

I totally disagree. We can't afford to miss out on any of our present fans, and the timing of this will make it very unlikely to attract new ones.

I dont think it's that big of a deal. I've had Saints season tickets my whole life and I dont go to Preseason games. There doesnt seem to be a suitable date for it.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Your thread titles are the worst. Not everyone has time to click on a link to see what it's about. At least state it in the body of your post.
"Let's Talk Football" Wed July 26 at Boomtown Casino on the Westbank.

Let's make sure I have this correct... I have to pay 20.00 to attend and give them my thoughts...they should be paying me to attend, much less give them my thoughts !!!!

Aren't drinks normally free at casinos? So that's really $20 for crappy westbank casino food?

Yes if you are playing. They are using Boomers Restaurant so there's probably a charge to tie that entire room up.

Why not hold this event at the Glazier club...give some exposure to the Fans and charge 20.00 for the food and have a cash bar available...this seems like the logical way too get more fans involved and exposed to the stadium.... memories of the good ole days when I would donate all of the food items for these type of events

I would pay up to $40-50 if it was held at Yulman/Tulane. Even if it was at Harrah's I would have gone, but it's at Boomtown and I don't feel like smelling like an ash tray by the time I exit.

I believe it's put on by the West Bank Booster Club. Or at least in the past it was. Ray Hester group used to be involved but I'm not sure if they still sponsor it.
