sounds and looks like a "society" for the "elite"...no commoner's invited..every time the word "society" is used, I know it ain't for me...in fact, until they find a cure for it, I avoid "Society" and other socially spread diseases
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Hopefully it is successful. It is much needed.

How is it different from being a Glazer Club member?

Glazer club is thru the GWC and based on level of giving. Tops out at $50k. This offers other perks for amounts above that.

Yes, the numbers go way higher than $50K. You get to be on the AD's Cabinet if you give $1M. Naming opportunities come as low as $100K

I laughed when I read the email. Not only am I not in position to join "The Society", but it couldn't come at a worse time, in terms of what we're putting on the field (court) these days. I'm willing to give the AD and his hires a couple of years to overcome the CowDick stench, but putting your hand out in this way at this time in our athletic history is a ballsy move. I guess you have to start sometime....

I hope it succeeds as well. We know other schools that we were once "joined at the hip" with successfully pulled themselves up by the bootstraps.

Actually the timing might be excellent. The message seeming to be hey we're good kids and we are trying but if you want to see significant change we need significant help. This is Monica Lebrons, the Deputy AD, creation. Hope she succeeds but we all know how hard fundraising is at Tulane.
