Hoping we strikeout at least 27 times on Friday going for Homeruns.

It's very impressive that Montalbano is able to throw out 6 baserunners in the first four games, especially since he's coming off of (relatively recent) Tommy John surgery. I hope his arm is just as strong or stronger down the stretch.

Let's hope the Wave can get on a roll starting this weekend.

Flight problems. Unfortunately the team's commercial plane last night had mechanical issues and everyone had to find other flights on different planes to get to the West Coast. Some were in San Fran, some in Denver, some made it to SB.
Not a good start to the weekend.
Bad weather expected Sunday so you may see a DH on Saturday.

Nice to have the ol' West Coast play-by-play guy, huh? I know we're limited on who we can send when Graf still has basketball and Cattengill has WBB, but can't we get someone on our side to do the pbp? Geez!

1st inning Wave leaves bases loaded (2 walks). Strike out twice. Last one to end the inning.

I predict that it won't be long until the words "what if" and "Cannizaro" begin to appear in baseball threads.

Well, it appears we blew what should have been the easiest hire in history (and it wasn't just Canizaro).
No time for egos.
Dannen can't eff around with this.

No where near as bad as a loss to freakin Army. I'd take 4-2 right now.

When do the tennis teams play next? Maybe catch some beach volleyball or swimming. Goddam joke.

We r a horrid athletic dept. where is the AD to addess the few fans remaining? Tell us there is hope or a vision or anything.

You hear things sometimes. The coaching styles of Pierce and Jewett couldn't be any more different. You have a good bit of the team that's on their 4th coach since they've been here. They are still adjusting to the major differences of prior coaching styles. I don't know Andy's HC'g style. But Pierce was a more fun and relaxed approach. TJ places more emphasis in training and discipline. The two have completely different approaches. I think it's much easier going from discipline to fun then vise versa. A bunch of on and off field stuff has changed from last year to this year.
This stuff may be more mental than anything. But mental is also important in baseball.

Discipline? I respect how u bleed green TPS, no idea how u do It but this team so far has zero discipline. K's, walks on the mound, horrible OF D, bad baserunning and terrible situational hitting.
At what point does TD address the few remaining fans after the fball, bball and early season baseball. Hell we pay the goddam women's bball coach 500k, for what? It's all messed up.

It does appear it's faux discipline...in the stuff that is just a straightjacket, that doesn't matter....not disciplined ball.

He's got the year to straighten this out. But as mb said, we have a lot of highly paid coaches....how about some production?
