NFL Chargers will move to a "high school" stadium. How can that be?

That's not the situation we are in but that might change the scenario.

In another thread a few months back, I was told (vehemently no less) that our basketball game at the SKC against UNC was a neutral site game, and that UNC was, in fact the "home" team. In this thread, it was posted that we play one game there a year because we can then call it one of our "home venues" and thus show it to recruits. It's either one or the other, but not both.

Likewise, when the Hertz center opened it was widely reported here and on other forums that basketball and volleyball now have practice facilities as good as any. Certainly baseball with the priority it was given by the previous administration, has facilities that are top notch. But we keep seeing posts that we have the worst facilities in the AAC. Again, contradictory posts by the same posters!

The UNC game was our home game w/out question.

As for facilities football is number one and it's facilities are horrid. All the support facilities were not D-1 caliber and then they built a tiny stadium on top of those only to cement the view that Tulane is not serious. As for basketball the gym is a HS gym. When people talk facilities those are the only two sports that count so that's what they are talking about. Please show us the facilities in the conference that are worse.

How many HS gyms in New Orleans seat 4,000? How about in the state? Maybe things are different down in Louisiana, but unless they're playing at a regional facility, there's NO high school gyms that seat more than Fogelman/Devlin where I live. Please, give me examples. And does the Hertz center not matter anymore? Did you post otherwise just a few years ago?

It's a HS looking gym. It seats 3,200. Xavier N.O. in the NAIA has a 4,000 seat facility. Show us other Arena's in the AAC that are worse. As for Hertz I have always been consistent that the gym detracts from the practice facility.

Still waiting for examples of AAC programs that have worse football and basketball facilities than Tulane.

So much for being on ignore.

What's the biggest game the Wave has won playing in SKC? Was it the game against LSU during the Dickerson era?

Maybe the NC State game? First game in SKC.

Oh yeah, just looked that one up. That was the year Tulane played reasonably well against #1 Cincy in the SKC.

No antecedent for "it." You couldn't possibly be referring to the Rams playing in an Olympic/P5 stadium, namely the Coliseum, could you? Is that the most successful stadium move in NFL history or what?

The title of the thread should clue you in especially since you started it. LOL. You can try and divert away from the topic but it turned out just like anyone with any sense said it would. They branded themselves small time and have been received as such.
