Was in the Quarter for a long time last night. Did not see many USL fans.

Which plays to the point we've made in the past: UL-L fan may show up for a regular season game, but they're going to drive in game day, not make a weekend of it. I was out this morning in Metairie/Kenner and there's a lot of traffic inbound from the West.

We're better off having schools like Ole Miss, Miss State, etc come, because their fans will come for the weekend.

You were probably there before 9pm and the Dollar Stores were still open.

Exactly. Two hours before gametime these folks pile into their high-rise pick up trucks with oversized mud tires, buy a large bucket of Popeye's chicken, and a couple six packs of Busch Bavarian. The only resulting stimulus to the New Orleans economy is the overtime in man hours we spend on road crews picking up chicken bones and empty beer cans.

Sorry about the snarkiness of the last couple posts. I am neither fabulously wealthy nor am I class-prejudiced. However we have dealt with a couple of abrasive ULaLa fans on this site for the last few years and I couldn't resist taking a couple shots.

Troy Dannen has made more game day changes. It seems that he heard about the parking lots overselling to driveup customers. I park around the quad in the tailgating area. When I was entering the area and before I could offer my parking reservation pass, security had already approached my vehicle and told me to "move along...this is for reserved passes only".

When I offered my pass, he apologized and told me that "people up-top have really tightened the parking rules."

Thank you TD.

And after going into Durham and beating Duke by 10! Duke turns around and goes to South Bend, coming away with a 38-35 victory. Seems like Wake Forest did some serious improving from week 1 to week 2, and keeps on rolling from there.

Getting back on topic, anyone have reports on the tailgating? How's the crowd? How many U-La-La fans are on campus? What's the atmosphere inside Yulman?

ROLL WAVE!

I saw one post on the yoggie board where someone got to the tailgate 1.5 hours earlier than normal to set up and he couldn't set up in the same place due to the crowd.

I hate this offense.
Also doesn't prepare our defense for the pass.
