Tale of the tape

It looks really good, and this is in no shape or form a complaint, but I actually thought it would look bigger atop the video board. I never realized just how BIG our video board was.

Same here. It doesn’t do it justice as far a size goes sitting on top that board.

Would it be better placed in front of Yulman?

Perfect where it's at. It looks plenty big up there.

What happened to the water feature or did that get destroyed with the fire?

I wondered about that at the USF game. My guess is that no one gets sprayed when gametime temps are cool.

I don't know if it was deliberate, but the indirect lighting on Angry Wave was very cool and a little ominous. Think we should name him "Phantom of the Aqua".

I don't know if Tulane ever said it would have a water feature. I think some just guessed/hoped that would be the case and then it became taken as a truth. It shot out smoke when it was introduced. That may be the only feature it has.

There was discussion coming from Dannen last year about the Angry Wave having a "water feature". It definitely came from Tulane and not the board posters here.

My understanding was that the administration wanted it to shoot water on the students after each score but (as usual) attorneys nixed that idea as too much of a legal liability. The fallback position was to have it mist over the students. Maybe the attorneys crushed that as well.

Or maybe it was just somebody used some common effing sense. Good luck getting a female to ever come back to a game after she's had her hair and make-up messed up by some "water feature."

Looks good, I like it! I sure hope they don't set it up anywhere unsupervised... could totally see some LSU ass vandalizing it.

The Tulane football program understands one thing about college sports very well: If you aren’t actually good, you can still get plenty of attention by having weird or funny uniforms. In 2016, the football program introduced the Angry Wave. I am pleased to report that the Angry Wave has grown both in size and anger this season.

If our on field success matched those of the marketing department, we'd be 3=1 instead of 1-3. These helmets will be a HUGE success. I hope the team gets fired up and comes out hot this week.

I also hope the same folks that posted the making of the Angry Wave Helmets video a week or two ago do the same with the HUMONGOUS ANGRY WAVE helmet! Over the years there's been no shortage of Memphis players taunting our players as they've kept their winning streak against us going. I remember a Homecoming where Memphis was pretty bad, but beat us and taunted our sideline most of the 4th quarter.

Time for some payback.
